Memory is soldered so can't be expanded further incase anyone was wondering.

    Also no spare M2/SSD slots.

    Shocking with only 512GB SSD!!!

    Anyone received their laptop ?
    htslough's avatar
Yes mine arrived earlier today and it's brilliant.

I love that both touchscreens are matt and not horribly glossy.

    Performance is excellent.
    Nothing quite like this.

Will need to swap out the Nvme SSD for a larger one though as no spare slots.

Very impressed with ITbay service, very fast and efficient.

It was boxed in a huge box to ensure no damage during transit.

Complete waste of money tbh. You're buying it for the gimmick but the performance would be of a laptop half the price
    htslough's avatar
Can you link me to an i5 12th gen, 16GB ram, 512GB Nvme and 17.3" touch screen with 3K Resolution for £350 please?

I've been procrastinating over this for the last few weeks, finally ordered today. I already have an eGPU so the Thunderbolt 3 port on the laptop will allow for external graphics.

I don't really need a new laptop atm but quite tempted with this.

For the folks who purchased it last time, how're you finding it? are you liking the design?
And are you using the secondary screen as much as you thought you would?
    DougJudy.'s avatar
I'm finding it to be pretty well made.
Main screen is great, secondary screen is pretty useful and I use it as a 3rd window for apps such as Spotify/WhatsApp all the the time.

Battery life isn't the greatest, roughly getting 3/4 hours out of it when not plugged in but this isn't a major issue as it charges pretty quickly and I don't find myself away from a charger for longer than a couple of hours anyway. I do have the screens on maximum brightness so I reckon you could get more out of it by reducing the brightness

Update: Lenovo Cashback deal has now been renewed for this laptop. Buy this laptop any time between today and 31st December 2023 and you can claim £100 cashback directly from Lenovo. See lenovopromotions.com/thi…ted for more details.

What use is the mini screen???

first thing coming to mind is me dropping something like a cup on they smaller screen ..

Do you frequently drop cups on the keyboard / side of normal laptops?

  11. blue_2525's avatar
Very happy with laptop. Keyboard didnt bother me at all not being in the centre.

One more thing to add, though some of you may be aware of this issue.
I couldnt charge my battery beyond 76% -80% max. I though battery could be faulty.

On searching internet, I came to know that, the reason I couldn't charge battery above 76%, is Lenovo's battery conservation mode.

Apparently Lenove keep that mode on by default so that battery last longer.
I managed to switch that mode off, and I am able to charge battery to 100%.
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
They should really mention it's enabled by default to avoid confusion.
I wonder how many people have returned them because they thought it was faulty.

Both TCB (about £30) and £100 from Lenovo have been validated, so eventually this laptop will have cost me £570 which is fantastic value for money. I have it hooked up to a RX2060 in an eGPU and it games very respectably at 1440p. A fantastic machine, which means my 17" Razer laptop will be sold off soon. I have also successfully extended my warranty to 12 months, thanks to all the knowledgeable folk on this thread.
    SantoshKaushik's avatar
    Very good

Anyone know if you can claim Lenovo Promo £100 cashback on this laptop?: Home - Lenovo Promotions
    rodman's avatar
Why not? it is running between July 2023 - 30th September. Not bad.
  14. blue_2525's avatar
I received my laptop on Tuesday, brand new, fully sealed.
Upon checking warrantry using Lenovo Vantage app (pre installed on the laptop), I found out that I have only less than two months warranty left. Email ITbay for clarification, still waiting for reply.
    Anyone else encountered similar issue?

50937547-E8PUK.jpgSame here when entering the SN on Lenovo Website. However it does give you the option to " Correct the Purchase Date" so you just need to enter the correct date from the Invoice
  15. 118luke's avatar
Olny thing that lets this laptop down is the lack of dedicated graphics. I was seriously considering it to order until i noticed the Iris XE graphics
    y_knot_me's avatar
I would say it's an advantage not having a dedicated graphics card.
  16. ComingInHot's avatar
    Good price for the spec

Wonder how did the seller end up with so many. Maybe a business customer cancelled a big order.

ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 with a 12'' e-ink display just came out, so I guess they are trying to get rid of the old generation ASAP.

Interesting how both reviews on this thread have been done by left handed people!
This one was a good review. Thanks.

Can the the mini screen be turned off completely and even if you touch by mistake it doesn't mess around?

How is the keyboard with it being not in the center?

    🙏

    and all

I just got one of these, to turn off the second screen push Windows + P and then select 'PC Screen Only'
  18. DougJudy.'s avatar
Has anyone applied for both the topcashback and Lenovo cashback on this? Can you confirm if you can claim both or just one?
    whale's avatar
It should be fine as you're not using any promotional codes. You will pay £699.98 and get 4.25% TCB on that, that's the transaction. The £100 can only be claimed after 30 days purchase (to deter buy & return, then claim) and that's a redemption deal directly with Lenovo.
  19. tc_Joness's avatar
anyone claim the £100 cashback yet
    maserto's avatar
I did mine last night and it was validated in a few minutes. Now it's time to wait for the money
  20. Sanzai's avatar
My attempt at claiming is saying it can't go ahead because of an issue with the purchase date. Bought within promo period and I am now between 30-60 days from it. For retailer, are people putting It Bay or Ikonic Limited? The latter are the ones mentioned on the invoice that I received...

Not sure why I am having this issue. Can't see that I am doing anything wrong in entering details for the claim...
    DougJudy.'s avatar
I've just put my claim through this morning. My receipt also says Ionic Limited but I put the IT bay as the retailer. I'll update you once I've heard back.

I don't like laptops with big laptops, but the specs on this model are good for the price and the concept is interesting. Most 17 inch laptops I've seen had very basic/old specs. Hot from me! (edited)

I don't like laptops with big screens

Don't you dare turn into the next FieldMarshal!

Most 17" laptops these days are either absultely awful spec, or uber gaming laptops for £1500+.
It's nice to see a nice capable one that's affordable. (edited)

Really curious laptop. Never heard of the seller before, anyone used them?

I bought an Lenovo X1 fold off IT bay and they were fantastic

I like this mini screen concept, might be usefull during full screen gaming!

    Screen's a bit big isn't it? 🏃‍♂️💨
    htslough's avatar
    Not big enough.
  25. r1mmm3r's avatar
    First time I've seen this.
I'm a big fan of the Zenbook Duo but always though the keyboard was compromised.
This could be what I've being looking for.

Only obvious downside for me is....I'm left handed.
    fishmaster's avatar
I'm left handed as well. Doesn't look left hander friendly.
  26. HUKD69's avatar
Has anyone used this type of laptop and how useful is that screen?
  27. shayman1992's avatar
Is there an option for a left hand version?
    r1mmm3r's avatar
If there was. I'd get it.
£700 for this is bloody brill.

And as a lefty who uses his mouse with the right hand it would be even better for note taking as with the mouse in my right hand and my pen in the left it'd work perfectly.

It can't be too much more expensive. Presumably it would just need a new keybaord\small screen mould.
  28. emilczajka's avatar
Purchased. Thanks. Will replace my 4ho mac pro
    r1mmm3r's avatar
    What's the delivery date?
  29. dcsprior's avatar
If this had a trackpoint I'd be all over it.

Why don't Lenovo realise it's one of the their biggest assets, and stick one on every laptop!
  30. blue_2525's avatar
TopCashback appeared to be offering 5.25% cashback too, if it tracks, makes this deal even better.50917650-yh3u8.jpg
    Mr_Chondo's avatar
Yes, £30.81 cashback is tracking for me. I know not guaranteed, but if it comes through, £670 for a laptop of this specs is a steal.
  31. TheDragonGuy's avatar
I've not seen this laptop before, was wanting a zenbook pro duo, but from research am I right in saying that this usually goes for ~£1.5k? If so this deal seems insane

I have not seen this laptop less then £1.2-1.5k unless it's a refurbised. As you mentioned its insance for TheIT Bay to sell this laptop at this price. (edited)

  34. Rickstarbo's avatar
I've just pulled the trigger on this. TCB was saying 5.25% so I'll wait and see if that ever happens. I can also claim the £100 cashback from Lenovo too.

I'm looking forward to getting this now.

    Thanks op.

Very good price for a brave design laptop.

    This price is actually outstanding.

The second screen service can be obtained as an add-on to an existing PC or Mac using Luna Display and an iPad.

Just gone for it. TCB dropped to 4.25% now.

Looks like there's also a free 4-in-1 charging cable if you subscribe to them and then spend £300 or more. (edited)
    voyager7's avatar
Hi, how do you get the cable? I have subscribed to their email offers and nothing...?
