What are the caveats of cheap curved VA panels?

Slow GTG response (worse than TN and IPS) without overdrive and VA panel glow are the two things I can think of. Seems like a good price for an ultrawide of this size though and 100Hz is useful too.

Had one arrive today, after ordering yesterday. Very very nice for the money, no issues at all with brightness (reasonably well lit home office). Can’t fault it for general use at all.

    300 nits max brightness?

That's average for a ultrawide in this range, however reviews of this monitor suggest that it's in fact lower than 300 (around 250) compared to the £300-400 Dell 34" ultrawide that is also listed as 300 nits but achieves around 350-400 in real world testing.

Still though, for £200 there is nothing comparable on the ultrawide market

Mine arrived today, just set it up. Early impressions are great! Just fired up Baldur's Gate 3, looks amazing coming from 1080p IPS. Fantastic contrast, brightness set to 70% in my ambiently lit office is fine. Stand is obviously very basic - could do with being a touch higher but will do for now.

I don't really do any fast paced gaming so can't comment on that.
