This LG UR81's 4K Ultra HD resolution means your favourite blockbusters look sharp and vibrant with incredible detail. While High Dynamic Range (HDR) gives you more accurate colours, improved brightness levels and a deeper contrast. Those movie monsters just got a lot more menacing. With AI Sound Pro, you'll be wrapped in a blanket of sound. It transforms 2-channel audio into virtual 5.1 surround sound for that movie theatre experience (only without the never-ending trailers). And Filmmaker Mode turns off any picture processing that can make movies look unnatural, so you can enjoy them the way the director intended.

Good to know

- Game Optimiser fine tunes your settings, so your games look and sound their best and run smoothly – your enemies don't stand a chance
- Its modern, slim design will instantly become the focal point of your room and looks great on the wall or a TV cabinet
- AI Acoustic Tuning uses the mic on your remote to tweak the TV's audio settings based on the size and shape of your room
- Access all your favourite apps like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and loads more via LG's webOS smart platform

    Hi all,

My main TV is a 32inch LG 32PG6000. I’ve had it for years and, for my needs, the picture and sound are perfectly fine. I get around the lack of Smart features with a firestick.

I’m looking to get a new larger TV and am having a tough time working out what a decent upgrade would be.

Would this be a worthy successor and noticeably better?

    Cheers!

LG again and if you can afford it go for OLED for a big jump in quality, I got my 48" LG OLED for £720.

The screensaver art on the OLED showing framed famous artworks are that goid they look like real pictures, even the frames, it is impressive and I'm a fussy so and so.

OLED you get total blacks and better colours. I watched 'The Mission" last night on bluray and the upscaling to 4k and colours were brilliant played on my Xbox X series drive.

Even this non OLED LG are good too for upscaling with good sound. If you only watch Freeview SD channels then not much point buying any new LG 4k TV but 1080p gets upscaled very nicely.

4k screens are great for computer screens too, I have my Mac mini attached to the non OLED and OLED TVs and I never used the 24" computer monitor again, onviously its even better on OLED.

Both LGs have good OS, modern bluetooth which I use for headphones and the wifi is fantastic. A big big jump from what you currently have. I have a 4k Firestick I bought before getting both LD TVs and the TV OS is just as fast but it's handy for Ch4 and another app LG doesn't support.

Sign up for a free LG Membership. Then you get a member reduction. Goto your "My LG" section when logged in and find another first order coupon. This can be stacked with the LG10 coupon, Making this £332.36

Any idea of warranty with LG, looks to be 1 year if anyone can confirm (would have purchased if it is 5 years) (edited)

Pretty sure it’s 1 year like most LG at this price point.

Anyone got any experience with this tv? I know the remote is meant to be different and not sure if that affects the usage? Also anyone know why LG tvs are on sale everywhere?

I have the 43" with magic remote, does this not have the magic remote?

Yeah it's a great TV, I have OLED version as well and besides the obvious they equally have good solid tech and OS is fantastic.

Sound is good on both too and I have soundbars on other TVs and Arcam seperates hifi etc.

Could be good as a large 4K monitor!?

Depends on your use case. Usually only the higher end models are decent as monitors.

Never seen or heard of them Daniel. My advice is to find a returns outlet that buys returned items from retailers. I got an LG 3 years ago at about 70% below RRP. It only have some stand assembly area damage on the rear, absolutely no functional issue. (Note: retail were offering about 40% off at the time)

Would anyone know if this tv is better than the Hisense one in the link. Thanks

Mine arrived today.... very very smashed up. Really frustrating. Exchange process would take several weeks, so have opted for a refund, but will be out of pocket in the mean-time.
