Here's some free technical advice you can either use (or not, at your own cost/risk) given some of feedback here I personally would not follow:

For 4K, without scaling, most people would find text too small on both 27" at 32". You would need a display as big as 40" to get the same density as 1440p on 27" (~110 DPI). For most people, 27" requires 150% scaling and 32" requires 125%.

Greater than 27 inch @ 2K or 43 inch @ 4K are the sweet spots. (edited)

    2k means 1980 or 2560?

Does anyone know if this will give 120 fps on PS5? As I need hdmi 2.1 port but it mentioned hdcp 2.2 in description. Not sure if that works.

It will I think but only at 1080p for all games at the moment, which looks terrible on a 1440p monitor (edited)

For the money it's great value, I've been spoilt by my IPS panel, and it makes it hard to go back.
I'd personally spend a little more cash and go with a 27" with something like this: amazon.co.uk/Vie…c=1
But you cant go wrong either way, I'd recommend going to currys or somewhere to see if you care about IPS compared to a VA.

If people are not looking for a 31.5 inch monitor, then ViewSonic VX2705-2KP-MHD you suggested looks better in terms of specs and is even cheaper. At box.co.uk it costs £175.49 with free shipping

Good price although 32" is too big for 1440p imo.
    Heat anyway 😜

4k just never feels right for me but that might be my failing eyes at my age, always too small or if you increase desktop scaling you lose the fidelity.

Been running a QHD IPS pro monitor at 27" for a few years now and its great but always up for a few more inches and the extra Hz may come in useful too although never tried a 'fast' monitor

and QHD is much less demanding on the GPU when gaming (edited)

Great value in comparison to a monitor of the same spec that I saw in Costco yesterday. It was £350.

Recently got this to go with a 4070ti gaming rig, am blown away by it

Heat added, even though I recently bought the 4K version for £279.99. LG monitors work very well with the new M2 Macs.

Went for this for my sons birthday - he doesnt want 4k and at this price point and spec its a no brainer.

    Cheers OP

Do not buy va monitors for gaming. You will regret it once you notice the smearing. (edited)
    darkclouds's avatar
I’ve got a va and the smearing doesn’t bother me I’m actually use to it and the better blacks
  12. Somersett's avatar
Single greatest reason for people sending a new monitor back for refund is just how badly VA smears 'black' low contrast detail in movement. VA so-called pixel response time is a total fabrication. Don't buy a VA for gaming unless you already know you have no problem with the technical limitations of the tech. There's a reason the IPS version of this same monitor goes for a lot more money

5ms response time on what's being advertised as a gaming monitor isn't great.

    Spec looks great op.

I’m after a new monitor to go with a new mac m2 mini or my MacBook Air. Can someone please recommend as I’m not sure with scaling sizes etc. I was looking at Dell S2722QC. Thanks in advance
