Anyone know if a worx battery would fit in this?
    MilleniumBarnDance's avatar
    No it wouldn't - they're a different battery style.

The Worx batteries are made by a company called Positec and might fit other tools by their other brands like Bauker, Blue Ridge, Wesco and some others.

Will this be ok to work on a car, undo wheel nuts, rusted bolts etc?
    BrambleJam1S6's avatar
It should do being 180Nm but you'd arguably do better with an impact wrench.

The rusted bolt would depend on the state of them, might need a blowtorch and breaker bar etc.

Confidence is a preference for the habitual DIYer of what is known as (Parkside)!

Had one of these (and a few other parkside power tools ) for a few years .....best 20 quid I've ever spent......well apart from that one time (edited)

wish they offered performance ones in UK too, had to other one from Netherlands, far more powerful vs this one,
    Moleyman69's avatar
May I ask where you ordered from, please as I fancy checking out the Performance ones too.

    Thank you very much!

Great price if you can actually find a store stocking them, I was after the sander today....4 stores visited & none delivered.....yet they had the sanding discs :-(

Ditto, I had quite a time trying to get started with Aldi/Lidl tools. If I ever need one exchanged under warranty I'm probably shafted because they won't have anything to give me. I'm mostly inclined not to.

But I am tempted by this tool specifically because I think the next cheapest 400nm impact wrench is Ryobi at double the price, and probably as much again beyond that. No wonder these things are like hens teeth. (edited)

This thing is a beast. Just be careful you don’t use it for light screw work though or you will rip the wood apart.

Or the tip of your finger-as I found out to my peril (in the middle of the first Covid lockdown!) 😳 I agree-it’s ill mannered-but one of the most useful tools I own and my go to if I need a bit of torque for driving a 4” screw into a fence post

This is presumably the same as the £70 tool/4.0ah battery/charger/impact sockets bundle one that's coming next Sunday? But you can get it a week early with nothing?

    That's kind of weird.
    Roygroyg's avatar
That’s the impact wrench and this one the impact driver. Perhaps the core build of tool is very similar but not the same end product. Don’t have this one but none of my impact drivers have torque settings like the impact wrench has.

Had mine for 4 years and its been amazing

Where do you order the 4ah battery?
    corred1964's avatar
They sell them instore, you generally have to ask at the checkout .... got one today
  12. uk1raver's avatar
Where can one purchase the battery from?

Also, does anyone know the price of the battery?

    Thanks

    From Lidl instore today.
    Battery 20V 2Ah 14.99, 4Ah 24.99.

Had this a while but don't use it - prefer my ryobi drivers, what I'm used to.
The impact wrench is very impressive for a consumer tool - like mine a lot.

just be aware (at least my local lidl does this) some stores wont have the batteries out on the shop floor....they tend to be stored out the way....due to thieving ....you'll have to ask a member of staff for one

Got one of these, good for the money and handy to have. Plus all the other tools they do that use the same batteries. They're no makita/dewalt but perfect for casual use.

Need to get a cordless ratchet from parkside but I never seen one in the wild

Can't compare to premium brands as haven't used them, but this has served me impecabbly well. Great battery which lasts ages and has never not been up to the task of driving in a screw. Paid £20 plus some more for a battery and charger. Absolute bargain.
  17. jsd74's avatar
I suspect the reason they made a new 20v was the old 12v couldn't open wheel nuts if my wheels were made of porridge even though the instructions said opening torque of 300nm and closing 180 so just ended up using it as a quick spinner between torque wrench open/close
  18. rnem170's avatar
Good luck finding a battery if you don't already have one. Swindon Greenbridge have hundreds of tools (no plane though) but 0 batteries. (I asked btw) (edited)

Awesome piece of kit, new one much heavier than my original
  20. dm77's avatar
It's heavier than DeWalt ones I've used, but it's considerably cheaper. £20 for DIY is great.

Can someone help me please with the link to the charger as I’m struggling to find in stores? Thanks. I managed to find the battery but not the charger. Is it the 2ah or 4ah battery required? Thanks
    TaxFather's avatar
I got the charger and 2ah in a pack.

For anyone on the hunt, there are batteries and drivers in the Loughton branch. You have to ask for the batteries as they are kept out the back. (edited)
