Purchase two sale watches from Fraser Hart and both were returned immediately due to the poor condition they arrived in.

Fraser Hart seem to use sales as an opportunity to dispose of shop worn and cosmetically damaged stock - not worth the hassle

20% off a Longines is not that hard to find from many online AD's where you will recieve a truly new watch

I know we don't have a time machine but I bought this for £890 a year ago (posted on here). It's a lovely watch, keeps good time. Also have it in grey with a rubber strap

Isn't this a sort of time machine?

I posted it ages ago cheaper hotukdeals.com/dea…787 in that colour so has been reduced before.

I bought it, prefer it on a rubber strap, you can find knock offs of that at fraction of price and seem very good, or my one was at least.

My main issue with it is the chunk of metal where the crown is, keeps sticking in my hand.

Also being fussy, I can't believe they couldn't be bothered to polish inside the metal clasp so looks crap when open. I thought I had a fake for a moment but went to see in high street and they were the same.

Personal I would save up a bit more and go for a Tudor. If I could get most of my money back I would sell and do that right now.

It’s a slightly different watch. The link you shared is 43mm

Must be nice to have £1.3k lying around for a watch during a cost of living crisis.....

Jealous? It’s called inflation, not a cost of living crisis.

Only ever offer ex display in sale. I'd give them a swerve. Not even up front about that either.

    Expensive for a used watch!

    No, 20% cheaper than 'new'.

Longines arent doing in house movements :/ big brand should keep up with the rest.
    LionelRichieFan's avatar
At this price point you can’t really expect an in house Swiss movement.

It amazes me that watches are being bought for such prices now a days, apart from the likes of rolex etc. Do you guys realise these watches / materials / movement / labour costs less than maybe 20% of the RRP prices that we as consumers love to fork out...

I am part of a family of watch makers, even though I did not get into it myself due to he lack of interest but I can certainly see why they are becoming so rich

Watches like these and Rolexes are mass produced in factories. No watchmaker is going to get rich making watches themselves unless they are like Roger Smith or George Daniels or they get lucky and can sell lots of watches assembled from off the shelf parts at a good profit.

I purchased a sale watch from Fraser Hart last month for £1200. Arrived in brand new condition

    Nice find !

A bargain for a classy watch. If Swatch slapped a greek letter on this, it’ll be  3x the price.

    A 'bargain' LOL

I don't usually vote hot on fairly high priced watches, but I'll make an exception for this one.

Wow these have gone up, got mine 8 years back for £800. My Hyroconquest is black however with ever number though, not like the 12 3 6 9 on this model.

    Ludicrous price for used

Since there are only 3 on sale on Chrono24 ranging between £1400 and £1500 - can't really agree with you (edited)
