Details

Longines celebrates the carefree spirit of the late 1940s. After the harsh war came a time of prosperity and celebration. Elegance was back in fashion; men wore suits and women wore recently-introduced nylon stockings. People got dressed up to go out and dance to the rhythm of jazz bands.

The new Longines Heritage Classic – Tuxedo creations – one with 3 hands and the other featuring a chronograph – are inspired by two historic pieces designed in the spirit of their time, modernised.

Beautiful watch but I paid far less (around £800 12 months ago) from a Goldsmiths sale. Prices on watches have gone up to ridiculous levels.

    Lucky you!
Seems to be going OOS in lots of places and can’t find it on the Longines site this morning (only the chronograph). Hopefully they haven’t axed it!

Nice watch, I do like a tuxedo dial.

I can’t agree with this being hot, it’s an awful looking watch. Spend more and get more. Sorry but this is awful looking.

Watch prices have definitely gone up. My Longines has increased in price (to buy new) a fair amount in the last 18 months.

I like classic Longines but their prices are crazy.A Hamilton field can easily match the quality at third of the price.Really want the Heritage legend 36mm but the £1.8K+ is a bit steep for that watch. If it would fall below the £1k mark…. (edited)
