sorted byAspartame has been linked to behavioral and cognitive problems including learning problems, headache, seizure, migraines, irritable moods, anxiety, depression, and insomnia, wrote the researchers of a 2017 study in Nutritional Neuroscience
Linked to problems? I.e. correlation not causation. And at what dosage? Many of these studies are done on mice using huge unrealistic dosages. You’re quoting one article from a small journal. The consensus of the evidence is and continues to be aspartame is safe. It is easily broken down into its components, components which are found naturally in many foods. A glass of skimmed milk will have far more phenylalanine, aspartic acid etc and a pear will have more formaldehyde than a can of diet drink.

^That is the result of yet another systematic review of the evidence. Food safety and health authorities around the world all conclude that aspartame is safe up to a level that requires you to drink 12 cans of diet pop each and every day before there’s even a remote chance you’d start to see a negative effect that could be caused by aspartame. The NHS, FSA etc would be advising us to avoid or even ban such a substance if there was good reason. You can’t trust everything you read online.
Including me but the information is out there.
