Seems they have reduced the weight from 250gms to 200gms (by 20%) to maintain the price - amazing marketing gimmick!

This will only work if we accept being ripped off. Now would seem to be as good a time as any to check out the alternatives.

    That said
Obviously if you are happy to pay, it's a free country, and hopefully a deal, to you.

Prefer to get the sea salt style butter from Aldi now. Nicer taste and better value overall.

Shame about the shrink-flation, personally I use Farmfoods salted butter at £1.29/227g and find it fine, 1 of 3 products I actually go there for, the other 2 being bog roll (ducky) and washing powder (surf).

I have to smile whenever I see these toy blocks of butter - might be 20% smaller but they look so tiny - 2 crumpets and we are done.......
The smaller spreadable packs are easier to disguise than the the blocks - clever how they've made the 400g pack look almost identical to the original 500g.

£1.60 for Anchor x 200g @Tesco today. A far superior more colorful tastier butter. HOT price thogh OP. (edited)

This company needs a 'bud light' moment to bring it back inline to the real world where the majority just ain't buying the narrative (edited)

"We take the cream from the milk and churn until it turns into butter, just adding a pinch of salt".

    Really?

That's the way all butter is made

Plus all the BS about having to have a store card for the illusion of 'discount'

    Oh yes
    AKA adding insult to injury

Now they're all at it so buy the 250g butter for the same price and a massive boycott will teach them that we won't be fooled

    It's THAT simple.

    Shrinkflation

    250g now becomes 200g...disgraceful!

Fill your boots before it shrinks to 150g !

Saw the same shrink-flation today in asda tub of grapes now only weighs 350g, was 400g and 500g before that but price is still the same

Remember when this was recently max inflated to about a fiver a tub with security seals on them in supermarkets. What a time to be alive

    Lurpak deals are so divisive.
I guess it gives the discounter fans a chance to promote the own label stuff. People know everything is cheaper there so I don't why the spam other product's threads.
Not sure this is much of a deal though. Equates to £2.12p for a normal sized block. Not paying that for any butter.
