sorted byHere's a picture of the satellite finder. Note that it doesn't mention batteries, so will need the output end to be connected to the satellite receiver in order to work. Which can be a bit of a pain, if you haven't yet run the cable (in case there isn't enough signal where you plan to put it...so might need to rethink). You can always make up a battery pack - 6AAs should do nicely.
These finders are extremely easy to kill - so touch the outer of the cable connector to the outer of the finder connector first, before plugging the connector in. Don't let the centre pin connect first, initially.
Heat added - they are usually two or three times this price.
You can buy (or make) reverse polarity adapters to correct this.
