    Good price, heat added.

I’ve got one of these and it’s great. Really compact and I can have the combo drill with a drill bit and this with a screwdriver bit at the same time.

Obviously doesn’t have the torque of an impact driver, but the ability to limit the torque through the clutch settings prevents accidentally destroying whatever I’m driving a screw into. I use it mainly for DIY and woodwork, but it’s driven concrete screws into brickwork just fine too.

I use it with a 2ah battery to keep it light.

I have one of these and I love it.

None of the noisy impact driver dugga dugga.

90% of the time I use this over the impact. They’re just not needed for most jobs IMO.

I like the idea of these I suspect slightly lighter to the impact driver so handy little light screwdriver. Maybe pair it with a smaller 2ah battery if you want a really light powerful bit of kit.

It is a good deal for a quality makita tool but I feel these kind of compact drill drivers are a bit dated now. There's plenty of installation drivers from Bosch, Milwaukee, Dewalt, Metabo, etc., that come with removable attachments for off-set and right angle impact driving and Jacobs chucks for regular drilling. You can even get a SDS attachment with the Bosch flexiclick. These have greater versatility and can get into tight areas better than the Makita. I know they're a bit more expensive but worth the extra money. However, you can get something like this 12V Metabo for not much more with batteries, charger, right angle attachment, drill chuck and case included : amazon.co.uk/Met…c=1

Still a good deal on the Makita if that's all you want from a drill driver. (edited)

Clutch drill drivers are where it is at. I’ve got the Festool CXS and much prefer it over an impact driver. I only use impact drivers for construction stuff now, a clutched drill is just so much more useful (and quiet!).

Been waiting on seeing this drop for a while, clutch on these are handy for low torque screws where you don't want the hammer coming on

I have the 12v CXT version of this and very happy with it. Great for when your impact driver is too much.

I can sort of see the purpose of these but there's no hammer action so I would still be taking my regular drill. I've got a Makita impact driver as well so for me.....I'm not sure 😁
