    Just a comment on power cable extension reels. Not specific to this one but relevant to any, where the cord is coiled on or in a drum and power is connected.

    When power is drawn through a wound/coiled extension, heat is generated. The greater the current drawn the more heat generated. This can melt the cable or worse start a fire.

    It is far safer to fully unwind the extension when in use. (edited)

    I've got two of these and they are a pain in the butt to wind off and on. The mechanism is really stiff and if you don't take your time winding it back up then it becomes jammed. I'd pay a bit more and get one on a reel instead.
