sorted byHowever this deal’s product is for sticking in and leaving in during cooking. Some digital thermometers are designed to be used like this - they usually have the probe on a metal flex so that the electronics are outside the oven (or smoker), and some have Bluetooth so you can monitor the cooking without standing over it (let alone opening the oven).
I’d suggest that an “instant read” (stick it in only while measuring) digital probe thermometer is a really valuable versatile kitchen tool. The ‘leave it in’ type are less generally useful, but well worth 10p if you don’t have such a thing (but treat yourself to something better if you can!)
For 10p, worth a punt!
