Probably ok for walking the dog but if you're serious about hiking and intend to rack up a decent number miles on a regular basis properly worth looking for something different and unfair more expensive don't forget the vimes theory of boots plus from personal experience if you buy cheap hiking shoes/boots there be useless in no time if you're wanting long distances on a regular basis
    Dr_lovegod's avatar
The vimes theory presupposes that you have enough cash to buy expensive 1st time thus avoiding multiple cheap purchases.

I've ordered 5 pairs as the soles on the cheap ones never last ... I'll give the first pair a proper workout and use them every day for 100 days and see how comfy they are with my expensive innersoles. Inserted .. .. If they are rubbish I have up to 100 days to return the other 4 pairs ... £20 is the worst I can loose ... Nice one ! .. thanks for posting op !

Great price, anyone have them that could comment on how good they are?

I think this is something quite new for them (not sure I’ve seen them sell them before).

Their are 25 reviews on the site and most are  favourable.

Has anyone seen these instore or are they online only?

Saw them in the Boston Asda store when I was out shopping, they was the same price on the shelf at £20 down from £30. They are lightweight boots and all man made materials. For £20 you can't complain, definitely not hiking quality wear but for general out and about everyday wear they seem to be a good deal. I collect mine this weekend.

I have a pair of ‘ cheap’ walking boots I purchased from Lidl for £15 a couple of years ago, I think about £20 now but they’ve been fine for both walking the dog and casual countryside walking/hiking, so I would definitely give these a go providing they are comfortable.

These will not last long, I bought two pairs of walking boots from Lidl, one for use and one spare, the used ones fell apart after a year and when I went to use the spare ones they were the same condition even though they'd never been used.
    smudgerama's avatar
Did you store the spares in a warm humid environment? That may account for it. Otherwise, you were very unlucky or its a tall story?

    Ordered. Thanks for sharing, OP.
Surely worth a punt at 20 quid.
  14. pr2thej's avatar
Twenty quid is nothing for a pair of boots like this. You get six months out of these and you're good. Great deal.

Was going to try these out but only size left is a 12. Maybe worth updating the listing as they've flown off the shelves as it were
