Seems to be the new price for these now (Heat added anyway as this is a bargain for the Quest 2)

If you don't mind waiting a few days, I would recommend getting one from John Lewis, as it comes with an automatic 2 year guarantee.

a great bit of kit, the kids and their dad like it
But its been out since 2020 so overdue a price cut.
Was reading the newer games are starting to become quest 3 only.
But its an ideal intro to VR

I think there are only 2-3 games that are Q3 exclusive so far, but I would expect more to come (as they push the hardware requirements).

The Q2 is still fine for 99% of Quest games, MR (Mixed Reality) is still a bit of a gimmick in my opinion and not something I would upgrade from a Q2 to a Q3 over. Just having a viewable passthrough (so I can see what's around me without having to take my headset off) is still fine with the Q2.

Agreed, this is an ideal into VR for most people. I started with the original Quest and went to the Q2 on launch day (as it was a big jump in technology), I waited a month or 2 before getting the Q3 as it was less noticeable improvement over the Q2.

Last week all major retailers dropped a promotion on these so I'm hoping META releases the lite version of Quest 3 soon for around £200

I think by now we’ve established that this is being widely sold at £199.99.
