I have this paid £24.99 so this is a bargain!

so can provide more images

Works pretty well i have a 900W microwave so it's about 1 Minute 40 seconds per side (trial and error less time with more Watts)

Warning it gets flipping hot so use an oven glove to flip over to do the other side

1)
top tip I use my fish slice to scoop it up and help flip it

2) Too much filling and it's a dangerous oozing mess

3) The plates are removable for washing but wait for them to cool first before removing!

Why do you need to turn it over to do the other side? In the picture with the dishwasher there are two metal plates. Doesn’t it do both sides simultaneously?

I would imagine that it is because the microwaves are released from the emitter are normally near to the top of the microwave and will be absorbed by the top metal plate (heating it up), if you wanted crispy bits on both sides, then you will need to turn it over.

I have the earlier version of this and it is fantastic. Top tip - use Danish bread. Its slightly smaller than regular loafs and goes super crispy.

Deep cleaning it is a bit of a faff, getting the metal out of the rubber (may be easier in this version) but you don't need to do this very often, just wipe it with kitchen towel or a damp sponge.

The current version is very easy to dismantle. See photos elsewhere in this thread I wash mine every time I use it.

    It certainly does generate heat.

I have one. Work better than I imagined, but I found using the smaller sized bread fits nicely, saves cutting off crusts to fit, unless you like cutting off crusts of course. Excellent price.

Do the silicone bits not get all stained and messy after a few uses?

We tried silicone oven trays thinking you could just easily wash them but they just ended up a stained greasy mess after a few times in the grill?

I put mine on a plate to make it easier to remove from the microwave. It does need careful handling.

It's not the end of the world if the bread isn't perfectly square. If the bread is a bit big, I tend to squidge it slightly to fit. I've never had to cut bits off.

It's expensive for what it is but it doesn't suffer from the curse of the electric sandwich toaster: great when new but gets abandoned when it needs cleaning. You can just wash this between uses.

Ordered one for this reason - just ditched our old one as all the non-stick coating was peeling off and we didn't like having it always out on the kitchen top as it was massive.
