Great price reduction, Never saw 6 pint milk that cheap recently. Still it’s £2.30 online and everywhere else.

My price is about 24p per pint, so this is a very good deal.

I buy yellow sticker milk and freeze it. Milks life is very dependent on temperature. You can keep it fresh well past the "best before" date if you keep it very cold once thawed. (edited)

I also buy the reduced milk when I can, only thing is we only have a small freezer which is always full so I can't freeze any.

Got some going back a few weeks ago, 4 pints of organic whole milk reduced to 20p each in asda so picked 5 up, lasted us for 3 weeks past its "best before date" absolutely perfect, just kept it at the bottom of my fridge .

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I miss the days when milk was less than £34738573858 a pint!

Incredible price there, wish I was near Chelmsford! Hope it lasts a while

Possibly same price in all big stores as it marked “Price locked low” rather than store specific reduction, worth a check if you’re around Morrisons.

As long as it is Morrisons taking the hit on selling it so cheaply and not the dairy farmers.

Not before time, supermarkets have been keeping prices high on alot of items just because they can, ATM supermarkets are a huge contribution to keeping the inflation rate high.

Tesco comes to mind. Also having no stock of some their budget food range
£1.35 for 6 pints of milk is a great price.
Follow suit all you other supermarkets!

Think milk price is the only price coming down nowadays. Maybe that's all the food I need...

Any way of converting a diesel car to run on semi skimmed?

This is so hot it's gonna turn the milk long life

Glad to hear the farmers are still getting the same price and the price cut is coming out of the supermarkets profit.

Don't all farmers have a multi million pound deal with Amazon? 🤷

So, yeah, in Northern Ireland we buy our milk “by the litre” for some unknown reason in all the supermarkets… a 3 litre container of milk is £2.45.
How is that the same as the rest of the UK? (Rest of Uk pay £2.30 for 6 pints which is about 3.4 litres).
Asda can’t answer, Tesco can’t answer, our MP can’t answer and the milk advisory board tried to answer but couldn’t. It’s a joke.
Once again, Northern Ireland are the runt of the litter when it comes to the UK, for something even as simple as milk prices.
Surely all the UK could just pay the same price?

Just been to Morrisons Chelmsford, and even though the shelf label still shows £1.35 as in the OP's photos, it now scans at £2.30.
Price lock didn't last long then

Mention the shelf price at checkout and ask them to charge according to shelf price.

Hoddesdon Morrisons also had this price (£1.35 for 6 pints) on Friday. I was convinced it was labelled wrong, as the 4 pint is still £1.55 but when I got to the checkout it was true.

No good, Morrisons still charging too much for Shreddies & Weetabix. (edited)

  26. fatboyhurst's avatar
Don't mind if the extra goes to the farmers, we all can work out it doesn't.
If you think the major supermarkets aren't having the average joe over with regards to pricing, have a long hard look at yourself.

Milk will keep after its date but just remember to A. keep it cold and B. Every one or two days shake the bottle as it mixes the butterfat.
If you dont shake it the butterfat splits and goes to the top and goes off quickly.
Dairys years ago made cartons for machines but it went off too quick so they designed a machine to vigourously shake the milk before delivery. Its then called Homogenised milk and lasts such a long time, (edited)
