About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
Saw these in the freezer section of Morrisons yesterday for the first time, I know it will upset the purists who insist you should make your own. Personally used the Northern Dough frozen ones in the past and they make a perfectly acceptable pizza base indoors or outdoors and getting them out the freezer is so much easier if short of time and can't make your own imho
Not tried them yet, but will do in the coming weeks, hopefully on a par with the Northern Dough ones and half the price of them.
Made from wheat sourdough, perfectly stretchy to create a deliciously crisp, freshly baked pizza base
The Best Sourdough Pizza Pucks are part of our premium collection, created using the finest ingredients to bring you a little bit of luxury every day
No artificial colours or flavours, Suitable for Vegans
Ingredients Wheat Flour, Water, Rapeseed Oil, Fermented Wheat Flour, Yeast, Salt, Sugar, Flour Treatment Agent (Ascorbic Acid)

sorted bySupermarkets just add a sourdough flavour to their products, they still use yeast etc to make it rise
Ban this person immediately especially if they cooking this in an Ooni !!!
I'm not a dough snob but I couldn't bring myself to cook something like this even on a pizza stone in the oven, especially when you can thrown together a home made dough in 15 minutes which will be miles better than this.
I have a beer dough recipe which is ready to go in the pizza oven in about an hour
I have a mate who spends 24 hours on his dough
Anyways back to the deal - thanks OP, will look them out if I am passing a Morrisons, Tesco sold a frozen sourdough a good while ago, but never found it again :-(
I did say this is not for the pizza purist, and to stop reading if it was going to upset/offend you.
What about steaks with Jack Daniels? With flame flaring out the from of the Ooni?
Is that a no-no too?
And your mate? Tell him he takes himself too serious! It's just a pizza! (edited)
I either use an Air tight container, cover with a damp tea towel or paint with olive oil while defrosting. Although I only tend to use my own frozen balls
15 minutes doesn't allow much time for it to rise
The people saying "I bet this will offend the purists!!!" seem much more offended than any "purist" out there.
Any Pizza conniseur knows a good dough takes minimum 48 hours to make!!
I'll be giving these a try though, and can't grumble at the price either! Heat
Hpoefully better than Asda's which I threw away after 1 bite
Again, not for the pizza purist, so stop reading if this upsets/offends you
A pre-rolled 12" base, that is rolled up in grease proof paper, which just needs to be unrolled and you are ready to go!
They are however quite thick base an I personally prefer a thin base, so I flour the worktop and roll them out a lot thinner, use a 12" dinner plate as a template and run a pizza cutter around the plate to make a perfect base.
If you are doing several, you then have enough excess for an extra base
Obviously no good if you want that authentic, rustic type base, but to each there own or each to their own (whichever you prefer).
Home made is still the best way to go, but these are actually OK if you fancy a quick blast on the Ooni at short notice. (edited)
Jack Daniels? Vile filth
OMG, it's just a wind up. Are you a purist BTW?
....and to be clear, I couldn't GAS either way as I do both.
Coffee (Beans or Instant) on the other hand, don't even go there! LoL (edited)
how much are these please? x
99p
I also like the tesco sourdough bases that are already rolled, they are £1.20 for 2. Great option for those who struggle rolling dough
Tesco does the same thing and is nicer than Aldi version. I cut them in half and roll them paper-thin with an edge over the pizza tray so they rise lovely with a satisfying crunch on the edge.
I have an Ooni - & have used the pre-rolled before .
What’s your recipe for the quick beer dough please? My biggest downfall is having a few beers and THEN deciding to fire up the ooni, only to realise I have no dough…
What dough recipes do you recommend? Can wheat chappati flour be used?
But I suppose these have there purpose, the frozen ooni dough which comes in masses of plastic and cardboard is ridiculous. (edited)
Nor will the pre rolled stuff - my point was you can make something a bit better in 15 minutes
Pizza Pilgrims used to sell a kit that was delivered and you cooked it in a frying pan
This is the recipe I use. I generally pick up a 99p craft beer from Aldi and replace ALL the water with the beer to give a stronger flavour

You get 4 here (880g) to Northern Dough x 2 (440g)
thats disappointing , no point then really
Very nice , i do like the way they say at 35kg its fully portable lol (edited)
Ah ffs lol sorry sotv - totally missed that! This is decent then! will give these a try!
I have to admit - I have managed to pick it up and carry it to and from the car in the past - but not something you'd take camping
You could just stick with the beer without the dough bit, seems a reasonable compromise. Have a guinness or two if you still feel you need a meal though.
The main element to Sourdough here is the distictive flavour it has so shouldn't really matter. Italians will use yeast in their dough to make them rise.

So how does the non-pizza express lot buy 8 for a quid?
