    I have an unpopular opinion.

For many years, you could rely upon the Moto G series for a good solid experience at a cheap price, as long as you avoided the "Play" models or any of the other malarkey Lenovo got up to later. So you had the G, G2, G3, G4 etc... all good phones.

That all changed in 2021, when Lenovo expanded the G range into G10, G20, G30, G50 etc., with the first digit indicating the class of phone (the higher the better), and the last digit increasing by one every year (i.e. what generation).

My take is that the true successor to the Moto G line is what is now called the G30 series, the latest of which is the G32 released last year. The G20 series (which the G22 is part of) is more akin to the G Play series of old. Usable phones but not quite up to the standard of the actual G series.

You can get the G32 delivered from Amazon Italy for around £107. It's £8 extra well spent. Or from Carphone Warehouse for £119.

Honestly my mind boggled at all the numbers here. I felt like I was doing algebra back in the 80s. What I understood from this, is 1) you really know your Motorola chizz 2) Biy the G32 instead....

Consider the Moto G32 for around £125 from Currys & Amazon & Argos .... Better specs for a bit more

Slow as hell, poor camera and no LED light notification. Regretful purchase.

Used to be the budget brand blower you could always trust. Not anymore. Steer clear of the entry level handsets, unless you're a pensioner and have no previous comparison.

They really let us down with these slow phones. They look lovely. Really nice for a cheap phone and the cameras are good for the prices but almost everything else is disappointing. (edited)

Screen is meh. Slow and does not feel smooth. G32 is better. Managed to snap one on Amazon.it for £97 delivered

How did you manage to get for that price please?
