Ocado sells this for £1.75 per can normally
(so getting them for half this price is bargain!)

Mine arrived today with a very short date “Best before” so just be aware if you will not use all these cans in 2 months…

Only a best before won’t hurt you

Got these on an offer a couple of months ago. Can't notice much difference between these and standard Aldi ones except they are chopped more uniformly.
    wmidds's avatar
Well aldi are only 60% tomatoes for a start whereas these are 100%…

As someone who normally just buys supermarket own brand ones do you really notice a difference in taste using these in your Bolognese or chilli? Been thinking about buying some forever but always get put off by the price.
    Hawkandr0's avatar
Definitely. Normally get the supermarket tomatoes. These were much tastier.

Cheers op. Was getting to the end of the last order of 24 tins and needed to stock up again.

Anyone know how these come out of the tin? Would they be the same as me chopping up normal tomatoes? Ideally they won't be too mushy or too runny.
    milanista77's avatar
Chopped tomatoes tend to be quite mushy compared to peeled tomatoes. Great for sauces or things like lasagna or pizza.
