Tickets are more expensive through this than at my local cinema.

Agreed this deal should be freezing cold but people are sheep and just clicking with out actually reading comments or looking themselves.

This offer seems rubbish,

Oh right, that's a bit rubbish then - more expensive than a standard ticket at my local Vue!

Meercat is going to be cheaper for two for obvious reasons, but this will be useful if: -you have more than two people and only have one Meercat code, -you have multiple Meercat codes but an odd number of people, -you want to go the cinema on a day other than Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Also my local Vue is £5 for a standard ticket any day any time (as are a lot of them now), assuming that it is 45% off that price this will be cheaper than the Monday £3.99 (assuming that the £5 Vues even do that offer). Ok, there might be cheaper ways to get to the cinema on certain days, but overall this is a very good deal if you are an AA member. Heat added.

Does this work with kids tickets too?

i've used mine each time to buy at the counter for myself and my husband at the reduced price. Terms and conditions are on their website

I meant specifically that I can use my code to buy multiple tickets at the same time in person? I want to avoid the online booking fee

Thanks. Have you ever tried booking in person? I'm wondering if it would work. So it states in TC it doesn't apply?

I've used mine multiple times :)

Great deal this. (y)

Yes I went but already had tickets and they told me it was 4.99 per adult ticket. And then I seen the posters inside

£5.99 in my local Vue but still good value. It has only been worth going before on £4.99 Mondays or using Meerkat codes but this is a welcome reduction. I hope it lasts.

Why not just turn up and if there is a problem, just use your phone and book online! (y)

Simont_is have you actually seen the posters up at vue Cheshire Oaks, deciding weather to book online or risk turning up and hoping the staff know about it.Thanks

This is the offer at Manchester (10 min drive) and has been for quite sometime. Monday nights it’s only £3.99 with a code you get when you register on the Vue website or app. I now go to the cinema once a week where before I never went so I guess it must have a positive effect on customers. 8) (y) 🏾

If you’re in Manchester, the one in the Lowry had the same deal on recently! Not sure if it’s still on tough :)

Can someone help me out please? I've booked tickets this weekend x2 at Cheshire oaks at full price £22 but have also received this email offer from vue, is there a way I can get a refund as rang up but it's automated service only and on the website it is a bit vague. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if it's opened around London today, or if the timing of the Croydon one is partly due to the Empire in Sutton reopening (scheduled next week, the last time I heard) after a major refurbishment. I know that the Croydon Vue was still charging full price last Monday, as I know someone who paid full price and was very unhappy to retrospectively find out about £4.99 Monday with the production of a code!

Is Croydon not London? Voted hot.

£5.99 for cinemas in London. £4.99 for cinemas elsewhere I guess! Good price though! (y)

I find Vue are winning at the moment in terms of pricing!

Theres only 2 branches of vue that is not really local but one is closer than the other. I went to the Hamilton one as thats the nearest one to me. The 2 Odeons that I go to are both done up. In fact the very first one that was done is local to me so its a lot handy and convenient for me to go there. Only thing now is that both of these are always fully booked so you can't just turn up and chance it like you could before lol

Like I said originally... I actually tend to hit Odeon anyway... It's more just the notion of "avoiding Vue because the seats are awful" isn't a very valid comment, as all cinemas have different facilities at different venues. As an SAFC fan... you'll be a big fan of "Titanic"? :|

You've obviously never been to Cineworld at Dalton Park then.... best seats by a country mile. Mind Gateshead Vue's aren't bad, but they aren't a patch on Dalton Parks

Yes... but which is your local one? It's a bit of a crazy convo, because in different cities, different chains will have better/worse seats. Odeon, for example, are great in the newer cinemas, but shocking in some of the older ones. Great as the seating is at Gateshead Vue, that doesn't mean they'll be great at all of their branches.

VUE Bolton £7.99 films (Adult ticket)
LocalLocalFound 22nd JanFound 22nd Jan
Seems as though all films are £7.99 for an Adult Ticket at the moment, not sure when the offer is running until!

Love the recliners in Preston!

Vue Bolton is one of only 2 Vue Cinemas in the UK (Both of which are local to me, Preston & Bolton) to have upgraded to electronic recliner leather seats - hence the price increase. £7.99 is well worth the price for the comfort that other cinemas don't offer, in my opinion. All seats are now classed as "VIP" and are one standard price. Normally a film goes for up to £11.59 at Vue, so this is a good price :) especially on Meerkat Movies days

£7.99? In my city, Premier, Cineworld & Vue have a flat rate £4 ticket for every movie, and with meerkat code, its 2 tickets for £4 on Tues/Wed. Odeon is £8 £7.99 feels really expensive.

Thanks, going to see Black Panther tonight at Cheshire Oaks. Not been to this one before. Heat added

It's easy to think all prices should be the same, and I get why that is the perception, but it's not the reality for those running the business. In the same way people pay more for the exact same home in different parts of the country, Vue will need to pay differing rent charges for their cinemas. Taking into account how big a cinema could be, it could mean a massive difference in rent and these costs need to be covered. Also competition in the area always affects prices a business will charge, simple supply and demand. Personally hardly ever use the cinema these days as its a total ripoff imo but I live near the Livingston one so for £5 a ticket I might start going again (was previously over £10).

At this price I'd actually go to the cinema - when my local is more than the price of a DVD from Amazon I'd rather wait for it to be released

Have been well impressed with Vue Gateshead, much better value than their (many) competitors in the area. The screens are very good quality and the seats are actually comfortable.

Hartlepool Vue has been this price for a few months or so it seems still nice price but I use the 2-4-1 deals so works out less at other cinemas

Also £4.00 in cardiff.

Hilarious, hope the better performing cinemas get boycotted.

Mehhh i find the arms on the seats really low, which makes it uncomfortable after a while. But cant complain for a fiver! (highfive)

I used to work for Vue. Its a new Vue Pricing strategy. Has been around for a few months now. The underperforming/quieter cinemas in their chain have had all the regular ticket pricing slashed, most to £4.99. The better performing / sites with little competition locally have had their prices raised. Big win if you have had a price cut locally, but its not every cinema

Odeon had to sell it as a condition of the approval of their merger with AMC, otherwise they’d have had both cinemas in the city centre. The rumour is that the prices might go up after the new year, but it’s just hearsay IMAX tickets are only £9.99 as well which is an absolute bargain for that screen

My guess would be it'll be cheap until they start converting all the seats to recliners like they've done in a few other locations already. Good deal though, especially when tied in with a meercats code

I’ve heard it’s temporary until end of xmas

As far as I remember it's been this way for months, seen despicable me 3, cars 3 and something else in the last few months, was beginning to think all vue cinemas now did this

Anyone know if this is temporary or the new pricing from now on?

You can still just watch The Last Jedi at the 00:01 screenings. In Cardiff that’s £4.

Disappointing, I wanted to watch The last Jedi at the midnight release but as much as I like the Force Awakens i'm not sitting through it just to watch The last Jedi !! I will have to watch it on it's own during the day ! What happens when the 3rd film arrives will you have to sit through the 2 previous films first? Good deal though for people that want it.

They have also now added a 3D showing at the same time for £5.60 a ticket!
