It is £5+ something along with booking fee which pushes it to £6ish instead of £3.99. Maybe it will help someone skip the trouble of checking Vue Staines Monday prices

Staines is my local and it's £4.99. It is usually £5.99 on a Monday and the code takes a pound off.

They add 75p per ticket to buy online but there's no point doing that - just buy when you get there with your code and £4.99 it is. It's usually very quiet so no benefit to booking online.

I wonder if it's opened around London today, or if the timing of the Croydon one is partly due to the Empire in Sutton reopening (scheduled next week, the last time I heard) after a major refurbishment.

I know that the Croydon Vue was still charging full price last Monday, as I know someone who paid full price and was very unhappy to retrospectively find out about £4.99 Monday with the production of a code!
Is Croydon not London? Voted hot.
£5.99 for cinemas in London. £4.99 for cinemas elsewhere I guess! Good price though!

Theres only 2 branches of vue that is not really local but one is closer than the other. I went to the Hamilton one as thats the nearest one to me.
The 2 Odeons that I go to are both done up. In fact the very first one that was done is local to me so its a lot handy and convenient for me to go there. Only thing now is that both of these are always fully booked so you can't just turn up and chance it like you could before lol

Like I said originally... I actually tend to hit Odeon anyway... It's more just the notion of "avoiding Vue because the seats are awful" isn't a very valid comment, as all cinemas have different facilities at different venues.

As an SAFC fan... you'll be a big fan of "Titanic"?

I often still opt for Odeon due to the location and various perks I get, but out of all the cinemas in the North East, Vue are probably only bettered by the special recliner seats at the Silverlink (which cost a mint to book).

If to take girlfriend, and say we had 2 kids would then be £37.96, factor in cost of the food and drink its gonna be well over £60 for 2 hours entertainment! (on the assumption the films any good!) Why should I have to pay over double what someone else is paying in a different part of the country?

It's easy to think all prices should be the same, and I get why that is the perception, but it's not the reality for those running the business. In the same way people pay more for the exact same home in different parts of the country, Vue will need to pay differing rent charges for their cinemas. Taking into account how big a cinema could be, it could mean a massive difference in rent and these costs need to be covered. Also competition in the area always affects prices a business will charge, simple supply and demand.

Personally hardly ever use the cinema these days as its a total ripoff imo but I live near the Livingston one so for £5 a ticket I might start going again (was previously over £10).
At this price I'd actually go to the cinema - when my local is more than the price of a DVD from Amazon I'd rather wait for it to be released
Have been well impressed with Vue Gateshead, much better value than their (many) competitors in the area. The screens are very good quality and the seats are actually comfortable.

A small drink from memory was over £3, but the popcorn portion seemed decent. Not sure if s bottle would have worked and been cheaper.
Does anyone know if the current vouchers mention the drink requirement?

I know they keep changing the small print. About a month ago the ones I printed didn't mention having to buy a drink, but the ones just before Christmas said a drink purchase was required.
Had the claim rejected, but then emailed explaining about the store signage and my claim for tickets was approved, good service.
Promotion still on? A sign was still up for this in the Tesco I visited today, although the website for claiming - claimmycinematickets.com/gb/ - does clearly state for the UK:
