Asda multivitamins are stronger, have more vitamins and minerals and work out cheaper on the 3 for 2 deal currently

Vitamins don't all have the same absorption. I don't know if I can find it, but there was a study comparing how well absorbed vitamins were, and there was a big difference between brands. Eg Solgar, which is on the more pricey end, absorb much better than average. So while they may contain more, you may be getting less actually into your system.

I've bought a few Nature's Aid products before. This is a good price and I do feel the benefit from them 💪

Can anyone advise a real noob on what vitamins you should be taking daily?

Not really, it massively depends on your circumstances and personal health. Though in the UK most of us are probably not really getting enough vitamin D over the winter at least.
A multivitamin with iron like this is a good way to stay on top of it, don't take individuals as well or high strength without proper expert advice (no internet grifters!) because some vitamins can be actually harmful if you take too much.

Tablets look huge (13mm diameter?!?!?!) and they're fairly 'low strength'. Don't seem worth it when you can get higher-strength (D3/B12 particularly) six-month supplies for ~£15.

Which ones would you recommend? Aren't high strength ones often overkill?

Do these types of things work?

Multivitamins shouldn't be taken if you follow a healthy diet. I've stumbled upon a book recently, and the least I can say is that it's eye-opening:

    Dr Mohammad Muneeb Khan
You'll Wish You Were an Elephant: Killing Cancer Kindly

    amzn.eu/d/dsAGIoH

Through KCK, respected NHS clinical oncologist Dr Khan has warned that multivitamins could increase the risk of developing cancer by as much as 30 per cent and should carry a health warning similar to those found on tobacco products.

Fair enough but let's be honest most of people will not get all vitamins and minerals from their diet and if you get few specific vitamins separately you will end up with a handful of pills.

Besides you could tell same about 99% of sold food and how it's being manufactured/grown/handled plus alcohol, drinks etc...
Everything is killing you at the end

My doctor tested me on a few things. I need high strength vitamin D and iron. I get many of my vitamins from Savers (often about £1).
