Awesome game drive for ones that don’t need anything speedy in place of old mechanical (edited)

Can this be used just for storing photos from an old laptop rather than gaming? Sorry not clued up on these if anyone can advise (edited)

It could, but you'd need to buy a USB enclosure for 2.5-inch drives for it if you don't actually want to put it inside the laptop. You can get them on Amazon/Ebay/etc. Though if all you're looking to do is store photos, you could just pick up a 2.5-inch hard drive for about £15 on Ebay that'd do the job fine. An SSD is kind of overkill for photo storage.

These are great drives! Have run several as storage and gaming drives in my old and current PC for 3 or 4 years so far and have been rock solid. Quicker than a standard mechanical drive and on par with other more well known western companies ssd drives, and seem to be reliable with it. I'm just about to buy a couple more for my wife's computer. Recommended

Only as external for storage, you wouldn't be able to play games from it though you could store them on it.
