Simply Waffle. Forever Brilliant.

Retro gets modernised in the Nike Waffle Debut. Remember that smooth suede and nylon trend? It's back, along with the modernised 'wedge' midsole that feels incredibly plush. And to top it off, we've kept the classic on the bottom—the tried, true and trusted Waffle outsole—that adds traction, durability and heritage style to your step.

Benefits

Swoosh logos wrap around the heel to form a pull tab, adding thoughtful aesthetics to the easy on-and-off functionality.
Soft suede overlays echo the materials used on pre-Nike Blue Ribbon Sports shoes, while textile underlays add durability with a crisp finish.
Low-cut, padded collar looks sleek and feels great.

Product Details

  • Exposed foam tongue
  • Traditional lacing
  • Perforations on the heel
  • Woven tongue label

Waffle Origin

In 1971 Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman was watching his wife, Barbara, make breakfast on a waffle iron when inspiration struck. He swapped rubber for batter, and the Waffle outsole was born. It not only delivers traction, durability and heritage Nike style—it proves that greatness is in the everyday. And that old, rusty waffle iron? Well, it now sits on a pedestal at Nike World Headquarters.

49716264-UBlbu.jpgThat to me doesn't lend itself to looking a smart trainer, shame as was tempted (edited)

Fair point, they do look nicer

Agreed. There is a reason why the website photos don’t show the cheap looking stuck on Nike name on the back of the trainers. They might be comfy but they look more like sub £30 trainers.

Got a couple of pairs of these.

    Really comfy trainers! Great price!

Ordered these 10 days ago and still waiting for them to find my parcel at the depot. Why a brand like Nike use Hermes / Evri for their courier service is beyond me.

It's an opinion, but I've just received mine, and think they look and feel really cheap for Nike. Genuinely, they're giving 'market stall knock off' to me.
