Hopefully this can help people through their 10+ year wait to see an NHS dentist!

Anyone tried it, any good? Better than rubbing sensodyne toothpaste into the area?

Potentially as low as £2.80 with max S&S + voucher (edited)

I used this recently, and it made my few days wait for a tooth extraction sooo much easier. Genuinely feels like a mild anaesthetic. You can get a slightly stronger version over the counter too, which has double to amount of the active ingredients. I haven't used the stronger one yet, but bought a bottle for standby should I ever be in need. Tooth pain is something I simply can't bare or tolerate, so this will be something I will always have access too. It really helped my 11 year old with a stubborn wobbly tooth too, although use on very young children isn't recommended I believe. (edited)

Just for reference, there's an extra strength version available from pharmacies:

This is actually local aesthetic like the dentist uses, I found it really hard get my tooth to go numb but very easy to get a numb tongue

I reckon everyone should just go turkey instead to get their teeth checked and get the hygienist clean. A lot cheaper. It's a shame that dental care is not fully NHS funded.

Do you have experience with this? I’ve waited ages for a hygienist appointment and wondered if this could be an option
