Got one of these a couple of months back
Can't believe how good it is
Teeth feel much cleaner and look whiter
    well worth the money

I heard that the battery ones are not as good, because when the batteries run down it affects the speed & thus the ability to clean is diminished. How do you find this toothbrush over the weeks?
What flavour batteries do you use?

    Thanks in advance

Blimey that's cheap, the head alone would be £3+!
(though should have been a black version to match )

Worth it just to save having to take an expensive one away with you.

In the market for an electric toothbrush - is there any major advantage in buying the mains-powered £30+ ones, or is this basically the same thing so long as I use rechargeable lithium AAs?

There are more settings in the rechargeable ones. The cheapest ones I think are just different speeds but once you're past the base models they have settings that you scroll through that correspond to different heads. Depending on where in range they can have settings for whitening, sensitive, cross action, precision etc. They are different cycles not just different speeds.
The quality of the finish also improves up the range as well as other features like Bluetooth.

But this will do the basic 2 minute clean and I believe it includes the 30 second interval timer (it vibrates once at 30,60 & 90 secs then 3 times iirc at the 2 minute mark)

These are not great . You need 2000 rpm to get proper clean . The battery compartment gets sludgy and not always easy to get off. Batteries will not last that long and performance will fade.
