You get a free filter fit (which is my absolute favourite way of making the most delicious coffee) when you sign up to having coffee delivered. You can set it to every 60 days and the cheapest coffee is £7.95. if you don't like it you can cancel.

Usually £19.95 for the kit.

My personal way is to put the ground coffee in, put cold water so it all gets wet. Then add a little hot water and leave until most of the water has dripped out, then put it over your cup and start pouring the hot water. Makes incredible coffee this way.

Have one and use the melitta 1x4 filters, you just fold them along the crimped seam for them to fit, much cheaper than v60 filters, £1.50 a pack on the melitta site if you buy 10 packs

TCB will also payout if you go via them

Go via topcashback with code IMPAFFV60 to get £4.25 cashback and the free V60.

I picked one of these up last time, in all fairness found my trusted Aeropress made far better coffee so took it down the charity shop.

V60 can produce coffee equal to or arguably slightly better than aeropress, but the margin for error can be so small with technique/timings, it takes quite a bit of time and patience to get it right. Aeropress is really simple in comparison.

Is there a taste difference between using this method and a traditional filter coffee machine?

There can be, as you have more control over water temperature and making sure all the coffee is equally extracted.

Of course it's more effort though, and for this size will produce less coffee than a filter jug.

Great deal. Not sure on that recipe of yours though, sounds like a way to get weak coffee - though I guess taste is subjective! I recommend James Hoffman's technique, foolproof 👌🏻

    Voted hot 👏🏻

He made a video a few years ago then made an update, not sure if you seen one or both?
I've been using the AeroPress ages now and fancied a change, so let's see what happens with the v60

I have high expectations of you to brew the perfect beverage!!

These are great but despite its simple design, there's a bit more of a technique to get it right. If you're really serious about it, a gooseneck kettle will help massively.

Does anybody know that V60 ceramic or plastic? (edited)

    They're always plastic

Cheers OP, ordered one. Was looking to get a V60 when I tried it at my friend's house recently and was very impressed

Great deal. For those that want the same high level coffee without so much of a learning curve, consider getting an aeropress.

Not sure what you mean about learning kerb, its a filter paper and you put coffee in it, does it not just drip through the paper via gravity or is there something I am missing?
