If you've been hunting for a handy set of all purpose paint brushes, then consider this versatile five piece set. Certain paints, stains and surfaces can be tough on brushes, so save your finest tools for when you need a flawless finish and opt for these instead. Choose them to paint rough metalwork and to take care of outside jobs like sheds and fences, as well as for painting concrete and stonework.

The brushes come in a variety of widths, so you can pick and mix what you need, depending on the job at hand. Wider brushes are ideal for painting large areas like your skirting boards, while smaller sizes will give you the precision you want when dealing with more detailed work in fiddly alcoves.

• Great value general purpose paintbrushes

• Range of widths to cover both medium sized or intricate areas

• Ideally suited for outdoor jobs or metal paint application

• Sizes include 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2", 2 1/2"

Save yourself £1.95, these are truly crap. I promise you you'll regret buying them, I guarantee you'll be pulling out the bristles from your paintwork. I've used many cheap brushes over the years and these are the very worst.

Might actually be good as disposable ones for yatch varnish or bitumen. Cheaper than cleaning them.

Has anyone else experienced problems on the Toolstation website? For me when I try and search for anything the screen of my mobile goes opaque and with the words 'updating results' appearing and then gets stuck on that. Really weird?

Have you tried closing or force -stopping your browser then clearing the cache?

Usually a good start when trying to resolve these issues.
