    What's to say the quality and testing is any less than many of the bigger 'better trusted' brands. Before I knock them, I would like to see evidence. Although tempting and often the case, price alone doesn't guarantee quality or lack of

    Some of the Chinese stuff, especially Taiwanese is surprisingly excellent these days. These may be, but I had read a lot of Lidl's stuff in made in Germany- Austria-Czechoslavakia (Yeah I know it no longer exists, but that area)

    While the thinking is illogical, I don't think I would feel confident about playing with 1000 volts with an 85p screwdriver

    While I would agree with you and I wont use these when the circuits are still live BUT they are great for when you have tripped the MCB

    I have this set and the larger screwdrivers are decent quality. I also have a Wera set which is obviously far better but the Lidl ones are still good value.
