I remember having a version of sensible soccer where the ball was a bomb and it randomly blew up killing your players. eventually just left with a goalie if you was bad at it.

I can't remember which version of Sensi it is now but many years ago (in a magazine, so that shows how long ago it was) I read an interview with Jon Hare, the lead designer of Sensible Software, and he admitted that the players in the Norwich City team had been tweaked behind the scenes. He was a massive Norwich fan and he said something along the lines of "all the players' attributes were tweaked quite a bit. You don't want your favourite players looking rubbish".

    So play as Norwich City

    Loved sensible soccer!
Eventually found an android game, 'Natural Soccer' which plays in a similar way!

Looks perfect for my steam deck. I just need to research how to get this version working through heroic, with the mod linked above

I downloaded and played SS on Xbox last year. Dreaming of old times and many hours burnt playing it but realised it's pretty poor now so deleted after a few games!

I had it downloaded too, but seems alot harder on xbox to score anyway.
I played Sensible Soccer non stop growing up on the amiga and sega mega drive and couldnt score a goal on the xbox. (edited)

This is a perfect example of how much harder games were back then compared to now days.

Once you buy this you should get this - sensiblesoccer.de/

It needs to have a version of the original SWOS installed but then this one gives you loads of extras!

I see that has already linked to this earlier in the post, but I'll leave this here to second the recommendation for SWOS 2020!

Is there anyway to get this on the switch?

    Sociable soccer.

Any chance of getting swos modded digital version??
  18. ShadowPuppetRapBattle's avatar
Just bought this and installed the sensiblesoccer.de/swo…020 modder. Unfortunatley, for me it renders the game un-playable. All that happens is you get 2 CPU teams playing against eachother. I must be doing something wrong.
    OptimusPrimeval's avatar
That's down to you *probably* not selecting a player controlled team. The team you select to play as will go blue (IIRC) and CPU controlled is red. I hope this helps a little.

    KO2?

Anyone ever notice that in SWOS (Amiga version anyway). the AI never got a red card?
