About this deal

This is comparable to the Samsung Odyssey G9 49" G93SC49. But in my opinion better than the G93SC as it comes with a KVM switch, better warranty and also decent quad speakers (2 tweeters and 2 subwoofers) + some other small things as well. The Phillips also comes with 3 years burn-in warranty. Product page details with warranty: 49M2C8900 | Evnia

Why what’s wrong? My LG C2 42 inch has been amazing.

I dream of having this sort of money flying about for a monitor. I would be creating some absolutely killer spreadsheets that are a nightmare for normal people to view let alone print out

Not sure it's wise to buy any OLED monitor. RTings testing shows burn-in on nearly all of the OLED TVs tested. I can see monitors getting image retention much sooner than a tv.

Obviously they'll burn if you just leave the same picture on it forever like they are.

I was extremely tempted by this but I don’t want a 32:9 monitor as I already have an LG C2. But if you want a 32:9 1440p ultra wide this is the best deal right now. And on par with the best G93SC deals as in my opinion this monitor is objectively better.

Why would you say it's better? I am having a difficult time deciding between the two?

    A very underrated monitor IMO.

Ambiglow is pretty good for bias lighting.

Also USB-C with power delivery, which many monitors lack.

Don't like the format (32:9) for games, no good for productivity due to the subpixel layout of QD OLED. The burn in is also pretty common on the AW3423DW so it's a pass from me.

Agree on the format for games but there's nothing wrong with QD OLED for productivity. I've got 2x Dell alienware OLEDs 34 inch ultrawide and use them daily for coding. Don't understand how anyone would think they're bad quality for productivity, they're honestly the best monitor screens I've ever laid eyes on.

    Is HDR400 any good?

It's an OLED monitor, you have an infinite contrast ratio. So even though the monitor doesn't go as bright as some LCD panels, any content looks "HDR like".

Impressive specs for am amazing price. I've been using an Alienware uwa for a while, but it's a 3440x1440. This is too wide for me

This has a 34 inch variant which would be just for me if it went on sale

Looks like there's not enough vertical screen
    Megamind123's avatar
I think its the same as any monitor it looks off because the screen is too wide...

I can’t see it on description but does this have KVM ? I know some UW have built in kVM

Yes, it works very well, too. I have two peripherals into mine - the keyboard and my stream deck. Seamlessly switches for me when using my Macbook Pro or gaming PC.

When clicking on the link, the model selected on the options is "45.5 inch IPS...but when you click on the 49 in, the pictures show a smaller monitor...is this an error or something?

Yeah it must be a mistake, the 49" when selected is £180 which can't be right. It does show the image of the smaller monitor though. I'd go with the pictures over the description.

Any one with this can comment on use for productivity as in excel and word ? Very tempted to pull the trigger but just wondering how sharp text is on there? Thank you
