I have the Samsung Q990B which I managed to get for £1100. I absolutely love it. Best surround sound system I’ve ever had, and it’s a wireless soundbar system - which still blows my mind.

I listened to loads of them in the buildup to taking the plunge. But I would of definitely been interested in taking a look at this if it was available. As I never intended to spend that much money. Unfortunately I’ve never heard it but I’ve heard their Fidelio range is top notch although their software side is usually pretty bad.

Generally speaking though with soundbars/surround sound systems. I find the rule of thumb I find is to go cheap and cheerful or all in. Don’t waste your money with anything mid range. You generally tend to be disappointed. (edited)

I have this and the sound bar and sub sounds great. The software is utterly shambolic though. Only buy if you are going to use arc. Play-fi will have you tearing out your hair.

It’s been this price for a while, I considered it at it is does seem good value however user reviews seem to indicate it suffers from being pretty unreliable.
I have had random connection issues myself with a Samsung bar/Sony tv using earc so don’t really want to go from one unreliable bar to another.
My previous Sonos Beam was faultless so keep getting tempted to back to Sonos however the price tag/lack of specs puts me off a little- not sure what to get!

I went for a Sonos too in the end, even though I think it's significantly overpriced. What made my decision was that resale is strong, even on older models. So if I ever do upgrade, I'll only be taking a 20-30% hit at resale.

This soundbar is phenomenal for this price, the sound it puts out is huge in scale with plenty of bass for such a small sub that actually gets down low enough to sound convincing as a true surround setup. The apps are below average and the PS fine tune app is quite pointless not offering anything different that the remote can't do. That aside you will be pressed to get anything better at this price and currently the similar Philips b95 is selling around £350 on currys. Side note don't expect true atmos from this as it only lifts the sound to a bigger scale in my room but you might be lucky and have low ceilings that will improve the reflections.
