Get this now!!!! For the price you won't find better, for music at least. I've never used them with games.

They are great for games. Nice, wide sound stage and they dont need a ton of juice so are fine just being plugged into the pad.

They are all around great headphones. I have more expensive ones in my collection but tend to daily drive these because I can wear them for a full day at work as they are just so comfortable.

I bought this in the Amazon July sale new. It worked out to £68.58 using their promos at the time.
I really like the soundstage on these but find the mids/vocals recessed and treble a little harsh on certain songs. I did my own mods to it and like the change so far.

Don't buy the Used - Acceptable ones. They come without the ear pads. Not sure how is that acceptable. (edited)

They sound superb to my ears. Each to their own I guess. I paid £120 for mine many years ago and at this price they are an absolute steal!

Best headphones for the money I've ever owned

Enjoying mine much more than my HD650s that I've had for years, more fun to listen to, much wider soundstage for gaming, bass is impressive and I really like the fit/comfort - the cups are so large there's no contact with my ears, I can barely feel them. Yes the treble is a bit bright/harsh at times but I can live with that. (edited)

A good set of cans great deal

I paid double & I’m not complaining. Use an EQ to find the sound that you like.

Only for home use though. Can’t use them out and about. Happy to answer any questions

yeah they are quite huge and the hammock makes them bounce on your head while you're walking. probably the silliest looking headphones (on the head) that I own. great sound though.

Received mine, these are just amazing at the price point! Love the fit, build and sound. Definitely recommend them. Rediscovering some of my old musics!

For EQ I'm using SoundSource (only works on Mac), with pre-built Acoustic profile.

Will be trying them with Movies and Games next. (edited)

    More bass?

Damn there's like 9 dozen returned X2s, seem not many people found of its peaky treble. (edited)

Is it that bad? I was tempted to pick up a set for gaming.

Since the deal was posted over 7hrs ago, it still has 107 units since I last looked.

I have these and like these just to bimble about with, but not outside cause they are big.
Light for there size and comfortable.
Also have other headphones which I like.
They are not high end but saying that good sound, not a reviewer so it's my taste.
  13. Cosmic.Schwung's avatar
Don't pick up the cheapest ones. None of them come with earpads and the cost of replacing them will be way more than any savings you make.

I think it might be due to listening to things at extreme volume for to many years and also testing it on an xbox series s but I wasn't really blown away by these. There is definitely a difference between these and my decent steel series arctis 3 but the jump wasn't as much as I was expecting

Had these and would rate them. Only sold them as too big - felt like a groovy grandad wearing them outside! For the money they are solid. I've owned the £250+ range Sony, Sennheiser and Etymotics, so can hopefully identify decent sound. These are a great compromise of sound and price.

Surprised you were wearing open back cans outside...

Quite a lot of distortion too.

Objectively, these are not good headphones. (edited)

No 100's of £ more expensive headphones recommended at the same time?
I don't believe you can find better headphones with a colourful sound at a close price. Sennheisers especially at this price range tend to be lacking a bit in bass. Different strokes and all that. (edited)

    Wow, they're on European tour.

Seems like the EU returned products are being sold in the UK.

For those looking to EQ the X2HR or any headphones for that matter this may be of some help. (Screenshot from my copy of Sonnox Claro)
