If Tesco is closer, Clubcard price for 550 grams is £4. (edited)

That works out as £2.55 for 350g.

    350g block = £7.86/kg @ sainsburys
The 550g block mentioned by tintowellfan above, at Tesco = £7.27/kg
By comparison, Lidl Extra Mature currently on offer too at £6.61/kg (800g block at £5.29) or £6.73/kg (400g at £2.69) (edited)

Haha, I should have posted it as a deal.

It’s not bad but cheese is still way too expensive. The price of milk has fallen - in my view it’s hard to justify cheese prices still 30%ish more expensive than they were a year ago.

It's been inexcusable for quite a while now. Grocery stores have been one of the worst exploiters of the 'inflation excuse'.

I finally succumbed and got a Nectar card- Sainsbury's is going hard at it with the Nector promotions now, following Tesco's lead.

I will probably have to follow. I'm trying to shop at Lidl as much as possible nowadays, but I have a Sainsburys much closer by that is a lot more convenient, so still end up there regularly enough for smaller shops. (edited)
