Pokémon let’s go pikachu/evee are slimmed down versions with easier battle and catching mechanics (there’s a demo) aimed at a younger audience
Pokémon sword/shield are the 1st mainline entries on the switch - these are your traditional games from back in the day style of play
Pokémon legends arceus - a spin off with very different mechanics for catching and battling, worth watching a YouTube video to explain differences
Pokémon scarlet/violet - the latest entries in the main line series
Pokémon shining diamond/brilliant pearl - as said above, remakes of the original DS titles
