This looks identical to the one I bought from Aldi a few months ago. That was £30 and a bargain, so this is even better (heat added).

Waffles take 3 mins to cook and following the recipe for American waffles (that came in the included recipe book), it makes enough for 5 waffles…

I was asked to post the recipe I use, so here it is…

    Waffles recipe
    (Makes 5)

    250g plain flour
    2tbp sugar
    2.5 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    350ml milk
80g melted butter (microwave for 1-2 mins )
    2 large eggs
    Vegetable oil

In a large bowl mix together the dry ingredients.

Combine the wet ingredients together and add this to the dry ingredients and beat until the batter is smooth. Leave to rest for 5 minutes.

Brush the Waffle Maker plates with vegetable oil and heat the unit.

Pour the batter into each recess and make sure the batter fills all the moulds, do not overfill otherwise there will be an overspill.

Bake the waffles for 3-5 minutes until crispy and golden, remove and place on a wire rack, or keep them crispy in a low oven.

Repeat with the remaining batter. (edited)

I had this and sold it on FB Marketplace. It didn't heat all that well and took ages. I bought it, despite having a regular waffle maker, for the gimmick of the turning handle thing. And it is exactly that - a gimmick. Certainly, I found it made no difference. Except to the space the thing takes up in the cupboard.

Others may have had different experiences, but I can't recommend it.

Bought this, thanks. Can I just use pancake batter mix and pour this into the waffle maker? I usually use Aunt Jemima's pancake batter mix.

I'm pretty sure pancakes and waffles have the same ingredients

So very tempted - but space in the kitchen is soooooo limited. Don't have room for something large that is only going to be used half a dozen times a year.. Oh, go on then...
