14" Gaming Laptop + Gaming Mouse

Razer Blade 14 - 14 Inch AMD Gaming Laptop (AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, QHD-165Hz, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Chroma RGB Lighting, Vapor Chamber Cooling) UK Layout | Black

Not sure how great this deal is but it caught my eye especially now that it's been reduced from £1859.98 down to £1079.98.

You'd obviously need Costco membership but it does come with the 2 year warranty from Costco as standard.

Also comes with a gaming mouse called the Deathadder V2 Pro mouse.

In-store only as far as I know as I couldn't find it on their website.

Couple of pics attached below.

Former Razer employee here - not bad spec at all for the price for sure. You get last gen mouse (which has been my staple until I got some v3 samples)

After sales is barebones external company with next to no budget and everything is "built" in house with one developer.

That said I'd still take this over most other comparable laptops of this spec.

As long as it’s covered by 2 years Costco warranty

Gaming on a 14” screen. That takes me back to the 90s!

Nothing wrong with that - I mostly game on my Steam Deck nowadays (7’’ screen). Very fun!

    Amazing deal
Though I hope Razer QA/Warrenty is much better than it used to be. They kept dying in 2 years and rhibgs (edited)

Hot for the specs but cold for the brand. Watch this laptop be riddled with driver issues and break on you within the first year. Razer aren't worth your time or money. (edited)

    Bargain, bought 3 for eBay

    Selection of reviews:
    notebookcheck.net/Razer-Blade-14-Ryzen-9-RTX-3070.550343.0.html

    My summary:
    Mid-2021 release
    Quality aluminium alloy build
    14" 165Hz Matte display 1440p (16:9)
    5900HX CPU (8 C, 16T) (2 gen behind)
    RTX 3070 80-100W (1 gen behind)
    16GB (fixed), 1TB 3500MB/s SSD
    Finger-print magnet
    Windows Hello, 720p webcam
    Supports 100W USB-C; no Thunderbolt

Competition: ASUS Zephyrus G14 or Flow X13, Alienware X14 or m15, Acer Predator Triton 300 SE, Gigabyte Aero 14.

Very solid for the price; for more modern, you'd be looking towards £2000.

    Update:
    Asus G14 (2022) pricing £1699. (edited)

    HOT
Unsure how good the Ryzen 5000 series is
Good GPU and brilliant laptop though
    warriorscot's avatar
Very good, not as good as this years 7000 series, but we're in the promised land of massive improvements year on year again so its a double edged sword.

Great price, although last years specs; the new (discounted) price on these is £2100

Believe RAM is soldered, so no upgrades, but spec is reasonable as is. (edited)

    MK only ?
  13. plewis00's avatar
It is a good price for this model but in-store only so restricts availability, I have no doubt if it was online as well it would have sold out almost immediately.

2 in Liverpool, 1 is a display unit so 1 for sale... Can't make it myself

    Buy the last one?

    A 14" gaming laptop?
    Axeboy's avatar
Dont see why not. Suits me. I want something portable that I can game on, 14 is ideal
  17. jackojack's avatar
Might be a stupid question but can you connect up to external monitor or tv, would this massively affect gaming performance?
    Craigen's avatar
Depends on the resolution off the monitor if it has the output slot on the laptop, if it is 1440p or below then no not really. 1080p most probably would even run higher frames
  18. Anachibo's avatar
does anyone know if this is in other stores or just Milton Keynes?
  19. Wakinglimb's avatar
Anyone seen this in Croydon? Online said they were open until 9, they weren't

Their website also tells you what their bank holidays hours are - which Friday 7th was….

    Bank Holiday Opening Hours: 10:00 - 18:00

Would be a great deal if it would be 16:10 and upgradable ram. For me it's just ok deal
  21. dealhunter1571's avatar
It is Razer so will be unreliable. Half of Linustechtips Razer laptops failed in a year.
    bigtam1's avatar
Had mine 18 months and no issues with it. I think this is one of the better reviewed racers given the cooling system and power this has in the small chassis
  22. nirod's avatar
anyone know if its in the lakeside or croydon stores? cheers

I'm still looking for one, you found out mate?

Got one today from Liverpool, they now just have the display model on stock. Been looking for a quality 14” machine with gaming capability for about £1k for a while so this is hopefully perfect.

I have tried a lot of options, including the Razer Stealth 13 and Blade 15, hoping this is “the one”. Really like the build on the Razers compared to Thinkpad, Asus and LG models I have tried. Only other brands with similar build quality for me are Apple and Dell XPS.

Very nice. Would never pay £1859+ for this though!

Sheffield only had the display model
  30. Ben_Harling's avatar
This is no longer available in Milton Keynes

I know this is unlikely but has anyone been to costco this week and seen them ? Milton Keynes are out

I'm sure if you take the product code to a staff member in any warehouse they can look up local stock.

17mm thickness…. Very attractive as it has the thickness of a normal laptop, but on this one you can also game.
