morrisons are doing 2 cadburys cream eggs for £1 or 75p each
not sure if this is a great deal or not but it is cheaper
    KevinMcComps's avatar
Well £3.95 ÷ 10 equals 39.5p each if you buy 10 at Tesco. So a better deal if you think these tiny things are worth that each.

Personally about 25p sounds about right based on the quality and how cheap the ingredients are.

The Sainsburys TTD Belgian Chocolate one really sets the bar low for quality though. 31% cocoa solids, about as bad as your average mainstream chocolate bar! (edited)

Mostly rubbish quality chocolate for extortionate prices. However, heat added because of the time it took to put the post together and give people the choice.

Swerving Easter this year. Everything seems to be about making rich corporations even richer.

95p-£1 for a medium (were small before that size was discontinued for most options), or don't bother.

Only Medium, large and XL* exist now for most eggs.

*XL means bigger cardboard box and one extra bag of sweets or chocolate bar for ONLY £2 extra!
    roguess's avatar
Wait.. they call those comedy sized eggs 'medium'? The ones that are normally £1.50? Theyre tiny.

We've cancelled Easter this year, nothing is under £1 per 100g. Price rises ain't due to a shortage (climate change blamed again), it's corporate greed!
    djdave2929's avatar
    Corporate greed. Agreed.

Cocoa is on contract highs, and short term inventory is down - however, this doesn't equate to anywhere near a 50%+ increase in Easter Egg prices. It's not like they're 60% chocolate.

I miss the eggs that use to come with a gift e.g mugs, egg cups, when I was younger, I loved the smarty one. So I just buy boxes of chocolates now instead of Easter eggs think they're a rip off now.

I used to love collecting them too, I still have all mugs, tried to collect them all, can't bare to throw them away , my mum still has them all at her house, cupboards full of random bits

OK people my family is an assortment of dieting/pre-diabetic and hyperactivity issues and I have decided to give the whole chocolate thing a miss this year! So any easterish non-choc gift deals welcome!

Anyone remember the "Reduced to Clear" deals after Easter
Especially the year we had lockdown

    Hardly even get those anymore

I remember 200g Lindt bunnys for 50p (edited)
    robocop999's avatar
I used to work at Sainsburys whilst at uni. The day after, all eggs would go down to 10p. I bought some of the £15/£20 eggs for 10p! Used to leave with a truck loads for all my mates.

Likely to be any deals tomorrow? Or are staff gonna clear the shelves
  11. sayitasitis's avatar
Production costs and the Easter Egg gift will rarely be Cheep Cheep ! guess you better wait until 1st April then buy a flight to Greece to Celebrate it on 5th May.
  12. fiqqer's avatar
Very poor offers this year. Last year I was able to buy 2 for 1 good Easter eggs from Lidl.

    Thx

Make the most of this year's prices, a'body. Given the bad cocoa harvest this year chocolate prices are likely to skyrocket.
  15. regreid's avatar
I've been given about 30 creme eggs so far this year...so they musy be cheap
