Card manufactures have been over charging for years on these. Sabrent have come in and blown away the predatory pricing from the other car manufactures. Be rest assured Sabrent are very high quality cards. They have long been near the top of fast NVMe Storage and these are no different.

San Disk Extreme Pro with a slower write speed want £479 for the same 512GB card!!

Using a couple of these in a Nikon z9 and work very well and such a reasonable price even without the . I've not recording 8k with them though. Great price even at the regular price.

I've ran 8k on the Canon R5 and these are flawless every time. I was grabbing a few more and noticed the price drop from the already cheap £155 to £134 and figured I'd post to try and help someone avoid buying a SanDisk or ProGrade for x3 the price (edited)

These have been extortionate this is probably why Ms decided to use a version on the Series S/X and to charge a high price as nothing else cheaper was available in this format.

This format being aimed at photographers doesn't help either as they get charged crazy amounts because of the possible income of paid photographers.

Quite a racket they've got going really.

    Transcend have a similarly priced £115 1700/1300*

I saw that Transcend one but when you spec it up to the 512GB version the write speed drops to 1000MB/s. It's only the 256GB one that has up to 1300MB/s write. Not sure why but it put me off a bit.

Some of the reviews also say it can't do 8K due to the write speed, which is also why for me I wrote it off.

Youre right though anything "Photographer" is code for lets milk them dry sadly. (edited)
