I bought this model, from this retailer, two years ago.
I have to say that it arrived, in spotless condition, complete in every way & with manual.
Have used it every day since - and it's never missed a beat, and makes 'luurvely' coffee.

It's become a little highlight of each day.

was going to get one of these new when they were cheaper, under £300 at Christmas,
guess these are just 'used' not refurbished, how used, want to give it a shot, just 'wand'-ering if it has been 'tamper'-ed with anyone bought one? (edited)

I bought one a few weeks ago, the condition is used ( I'd say 7 / 10) but works perfectly.

I got one from this company 3 years ago its been great, it was missing the milk jug and baskets. But it was 30 cheaper

fantastic coffee maker, but will need to buy the single skin baskets and jug. Still a very good price, but I paid £235 last month from very when using the new customer 20% discount code.

Best model available under £500 in my opinion

Can only comment on my experience, but I got one from this company a couple of weeks ago and it was completely unusable out of the box. The service was good enough and they took it back and refunded no questions asked. I wouldn’t say no, but it’s certainly pot luck.

Sorry to hear that. I have a somewhat opposite experience to yours. I bought a Sage Duo Temp Pro from this company in August and it works great.

Interested to hear what kind of condition peoples machines arrived in?

Mine was filthy, stank of rank milk and was soaking wet... but it works fine.
Definitely NOT refurbished, as some of the internal parts were CAKED with months of old coffee grinds and grime. I'm guessing they do the bare minimum to get them working and then ship them out.

It was pretty clear that the previous owners had never cleaned the shower screen where the portafilter connects to the machine, as it was caked with dried out rancid coffee grinds. Fortunately it's pretty easy to clean with a small toothbrush, and you can easily remove the shower head to clean behind it.

I recommend getting some Puly caff cleaning tablets and a backflush cleaning disc so that you can run a cleaning cycle on the machine before you use it. You basically just pull shots using the backflush disc until the water runs clear. Also recommend doing a descale, as there is a high chance the previous owners lived in a hard water area.

So I had a uncleaned machine delivered too and because mine was sold as being refurbished with 1 yr's warranty I was not impressed. I emailed them and they offered: a replacement after collecting the one already delivered or a partial refund of £20. I took the refund and wiped the machine down myself as well as washing the shower screen which had some residue from the previous owner. It was my first espresso machine so I didn't want to go big not knowing how I'll manage but I'm glad I kept this machine as it works flawlessly. (edited)

I wonder how consistent the missing accessories are; the right size milk jug to sit on the heat sensor must be useful, I only ever use the single wall baskets (for Bambino) and the water filter.

Any milk jug will sit on the sensor, but if you want to make really good coffee with home machines it's worth investing in 3rd party accessories like levelling tools, filter screens, bottomless portafilters etc
