For anyone who has bought this I’m now nearly certain that you can tell if something is in Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio. When I’ve switched between music sources on Apple Music from a normal playlist to spatial audio the soundbar flashes a blue light 3-4 times. I’ve noticed that before when I played Atmos stuff but wasn’t sure. It only happens when I play Atmos content and my Apple TV and Sony tv are all set to output Atmos on auto modes. Just tested again. It doesn’t flash when moving back to lossless but the moment I just started Dolby Atmos classic radio on Apple Music it flashes blue again. Try that and see what happens. Don’t use YouTube as I’ve tried that via various devices and no difference as the streams aren’t Atmos audio even if the content is. In my view get yourself an Apple TV of you want streaming Dolby vision and Atmos as out all the devices I’ve tried it’s the only one that seems to do it properly across all streaming platforms. Some first day impressions.

Set up was a breeze because I had already the proper cable (thank you Go Pro). Wifi connection and Bluetooth connection too. App is useful. Sound is impressive and fills easily the room. Makes watching TV much easier to hear! I watched an episode of formula 1 on Netflix and you would really enjoy the bass. Best part my kids got annoyed and they left the living room so I enjoyed finally the TV for myself for 30mins.

Cons / advice
Double check your TV audio ARC or eARC capabilities. Since the soundbar has only one micro HDMI port you will need to rely on your TV to do all the audio routing. Mine (Sony 2017) has only Dolby digital so ATMOS is not working at all although the fire stick is capable of it.

Also it is very hard to tell what signal the soundbar is getting. I wish the Android app would have been better at offering such information.

Finally I wish the app offered advice on subwoofer placement.

Conclusion. For less than 90 pounds this is an awesome soundbar. (edited)

Set mine up today and after a quick play with it over bluetooth, it sounds amazing for such a slim bar! Found a micro HDMI to HDMI cable so will test properly tomorrow.

Looking to see if someone can shed some light here . Birmingham Costco doesn't have this model so checked with Richer sounds if they would price match as some of the comments here mentioned them. The guy on the phone then explained that if they do a price match then one cannot claim £250 off from Samsung and due to the time lapse between putting cash back through and getting a response, the return period with richer sounds will finish so you them cannot return the item to richer sound?

What I am trying to ascertain is can you not claim cashback from Samsung if Richer sounds price match? (edited)

Absolutely stunning deal. I see important info missing in the title. Some will miss on this deal because of this. Samsung Q800B should be in the title. This is the deal of the year if anybody manages to get it.
Description suggests 'half decent soundbar'. Add rears, and it will be a more than decent soundbar, not much different than q930b.

Edit - I was under the impression this is the q800b model. But it is the S slim model. Don't know much about this one, but still a crazy good deal. (edited)

You can add rear speakers to this, works with SWA 9500S speakers. As per usual, Samsung rears are not cheap, but you may be able to find used ones for under £200. With rears, this will be 5.1.4. I've got my Q700A and I was not impressed with it, but after adding the 9500s, it sounded much better. Now getting rid of my whole system, as I've upgraded.
While this is a bargain indeed, personally I disregard a soundbar without rears. (edited)
