Apart from the size, I don't see much to like, write speed is very low for starters.
I gave up on this style and bought a M.2 SATA and an enclosure.
Not only is the write speed about ten times faster, it has decent consistency and longevity.
The last thumb drive I had was a fairly high end SanDisk and over time it slowed down dramatically.
I suspect this is better but still rubbish write speed.
But if you need something small to use with your phone, hopefully this does the job.

You want a usb stick hanging off your Deck? Just get a decent speed Micro SD.

I got this for £23.80 in June. Getting 30MB/s write on a Samsung S22 Ultra, but get about 110MB/s write / 340MB/s read on a Asus intel i7 Gen11 with usb c port, so seem to be bottlenecked by the phone. On the plus side the size is really nice. (edited)

How are you managing that when the spec says 30MB/s max write speed? It's not like them to under report the max transfer rate.

Write speed isn't that bad - 100MBps+ for many of the usual workloads you'd expect for a pendrive. The real slow drives are the Kingstons, offering around 10% of that speed in some cases.

Yes, a SSD + enclosure is faster, but then you have different issues to contend with, including price and size.

I bought one of these from Amazon, a couple of months ago. I loaded it up with about 25GB of entertainment, to take on holiday. After a couple of days, half the files were corrupted and wouldn't play.
