"Coincidental" firesale with the issues being flagged and WD Sandisk's silence. All seems pretty cynical

Can get an NVMe enclosure and far better 1TB drive to put in it for £49 total.
Much better than this thing. (edited)

If anyone is wondering, this enclosure for £13.09 after the £4 off voucher -
    amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

Then add this drive (TLC NAND with DRAM cache) for £35.99 -
    amazon.co.uk/Kio…8-2

Exactly what I use as a bootable windows drive in that enclosure and works perfectly.

I have a bigger drive in another of those enclusores for storage, no issues at all with them. (edited)

WD/Sandisk is the only storage manufacturer to operate a dedicated outlet for selling refurbished returns. That’s because of the volume of returns they generate, never a good sign for someone in this business. Avoid.

Sandisk current name status is Mud. I would not buy their SSD offerings at the moment. I have a number of Western Digital SSD's hopefully there are no issues with them.

Yea I posted this myself not long ago but it can easily corrupt or delete all your data after being barely used at all, so hard pass

Fwiw I've used this without issues for a good 4 or so years now travelling with it all over the world

Having issues isn't the real problem, it's the price.
    This should be £50 max.
