Hawes and Curtis have a sale with shirts for £20 instead of £60 at the moment and they are top quality!

jdrob123

They're not the same quality as TM Lewin/CT TM Lewin are available at £20 a shirt without having to buy 5.

markdavey1972

IMO TM Lewin are better shirts...

Bojo0789

I'm very tempted by this deal, but I'm worried about the quality as I have never worn one of their shirts. Although they do have a 90 day no quibbles returns policy, so it may be worth a punt!

I've just tried to order some shirts, but the website is shocking so I've lost patience. Filters don't work properly, and shirts that are sub £20, are on offer at 3 for £70???? I give up.

Inquisitor

Hmm... tempting, I do like their quality.

Comment Totally agree with you mate

archiepemberton1

I'm surprised at the negativity on this one. I've got half a dozen of their shirts and I've found the quality to be exceptional; they keep their shape, colours stay vivid and they're relatively easy to iron. Heat from me.

Rich1234567

These shirts are amazing. Fit is really good and they wash well. Thanks OP

aym280

Very poor quality. Don't fall for the name.

Comment Couldn't disagree more - yes their rrp's are a bit suspect but I've had plenty for work and they're fine.

Iiyama

Got to agree that the name does not reflect the quality. I would stick to Charles Trywitt superb shirts.

Babboon

It's a good deal for me. I bought 4 shirts from them when I started my job 3 years ago and they're still in good nick. Ok rrp prices are crazy but around £18 per shirt with decent size options you don't get with Charles trywhitt work for me, can't even get my size from some others (big neck not fat

antspam

If you need longer sleeves it works out at 82.52.

aym280

Very poor quality - don't be fooled by the name!

I only ever wear TMLewin, I own about 20 now and they last forever!!

jonnyholywoodni

I've a few and they unfortunately aren't a patch on the Charles Tyrwitt shirts I got for under a tenner on here. They are good quality but more like a slightly better Next or M&S shirt with better designs. They don't quite have the thick quality feel of a Charles Tyrwitt shirt.

leelee77

My husband wears Savile Row shirts and loves them. They last really well and the fabrics are nice

Some one pasted last week about the clearance section. Spent ages trying to match jackets to trousers and then trying to find my sizes but no luck unless you are shaped like a triangle!

If it was a casual jacket I'd agree with you, bit too much of a formal cut for jeans imo

watson44

really?! i got a number of shirts from them a few months back, which arrived in 2 days. shirt sizes were spot on and the material seems decent, overall I can't fault them. obviously i know that they aren't worth the stated prices of £34+ as they've always got a sale on + a discount code + cashback

kevinyork

They use the Saville Row name but in reality M&S do better.

mrcoxexcel

Savile Row are generally not of good quality - fortunately, you can return substandard items to them. Most of what I ordered a few years ago was poor with the only decent thing being a dressing gown which I kept. Shirts and a ladies jacket were of Tesco standard.

Hi fair points. I wear Tyrwhitt shirts on average once every 10 days and have done for years. Marks sell shirts of many quality levels, Easycare at the cheap end, Sartorial and made to measure at the top end. Which Marks brand were you comparing too?

creepyhedgehog

Your points, while prima facie well made, both display a lack of observation to my post and contradict your own original post: 1) I specifically compared the length of wear of these shirts to M&S, not to any other company. 2) Simply because a company may originate from a particular location does not automatically guarantee quality. I have bought shirts on a number of occasions from Lewin and I have yet to be as satisfied with them as I have been with the shirts from the Savile Row Co. I have frequently found the Lewin ones to be overpriced for the comparable quality and the submission that a company is located in a particular place seems to smack, if you'll forgive me for saying so, somewhat of snobbery. Finally, you say you have Tyrwhitt shirts that you've been wearing since 2001. Good for you. I'd be curious to know how often you wear them, though. Most people I know have about ten shirts that they wear once a fortnight or so. Claiming that a shirt has lasted thirteen years when you only wear it once every couple of months isn't really a reasoned or powerful argument...

Valiantcat

If you have been only Ben buying them from here for months, that is not long enough to know if the shirts are long wearing. Tyrwhitt and Lewins are from Jermyn St, which is the traditional home of fine shirt makers in London. I still have Tyrwhitt shirts I have been wearing since 2001 and those are hard wearing.

almisakinom

Agree

creepyhedgehog

I've been buying from this company for months. The shirts are excellent quality, better than any premium brands like TM Lewin or Charles Tyrwhitt. And I have to disagree with abarcellos, they last a heck of a lot longer than the last shirt I got from M&S.
