Credit to for finding the amazing Longines watch deal on his post.

I’ve just stumbled upon this lovely Seiko at 40% off from the same retailer.

WATCH REFERENCE: SPB311J1 SIZE: 40MM

This ‘Midnight’ blue dial watch is from the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged collection, inspired by ancient and modern Japanese design. It features a new case design with a mirror finishing on both lug sides along with a striking new two-layered dial. This timepiece is powered by the new “open heart” 6R38 movement, the first semi-transparent structured 6R calibre with 70 hours of power reserve. The dials on Presage Sharp Edged timepieces feature a traditional Japanese pattern designed to bring growth and success. This angular ancient hemp print has been seen in Japanese artisan objects since the Heian period (794-1185) and features on textiles and interior styles. Seiko Presage: Timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping. Minimalistic watch designs with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic.

    This is very nice.

Excuse my ignorance, isn't this a lot of money for an automatic and non-prestige brand though?

Seiko is very good brand (and to most a premium brand), if you want very premium go for their Grand Seiko range. This was a very nice watch at a 'good' price for what it is:

In my opinion, these automatic watches never go old (timeless time pieces). I've got my poor mans (very value for money - Pagani Design) watch from Aliexpress on the way (with the NH39 movement - open heart):

Gorgeous watch. Anyone know of similar looking watches for a little cheaper?

There's a fairly similar watch in the Orient Bambino range. More like £200-£250.

Cheers for the mention. I nearly got this 1 for myself. I got a blue non AO, on braclet last year and moved it on as a workmate wanted it. I've been trying to find another great deal on 1 since. The Sharp Edge series are lovely.

I am very tempted myself! Wish it had a green dial though, I’m a sucker for green.

70hrs power reserve is what you are paying for, most other brands tend to be 38hrs to 50hrs.

Though, Pagini do a homage to this at about a tenth of the cost!
