I have been looking at this for a while. Still wobblinh on the reserve guage but looks a good price. I know watch geeks are here so curious what you think.

Personally I LOVE having a guage to inform me of the reserve. I see many people speak negatively of this.

    Agreed. Nice feature imo.

I see the glass is only Hardlex and not Sapphire Crystal. I've not owned a Seiko before but read that Hardlex is prone to scratches - any more experienced HKUDers have an opinion on this?

Yes it is but you can purchase a sapphire and have it fitted by a watchmaker. The glass I think you can get for around £25.

10% discount for email newsletter sign up, but even at 360, it's been quite a bit cheaper.

I bought this on the recent Ernest Jones deal and I love it. The only issue is that at my age I don't know the date today nor can I read the date on the display in micro-font. No worries though, I know the important thing, the time.

Personally I think the date indicator spoils the look, rather than the power reserve gauge. Should have stuck with a standard window but above the 6 rather than near the 3.(nerd)

I owned this watch and enjoyed the power meter, others felt it spoilt the symmetry of the face but hey its a personal choice.

Just wanted I wanted a wash that could survive doing the laundry and washing my hands.

It's certainly a nice watch, but I do think the less cluttered versions without the power reserve gauge look nicer; I've one the same colour as this, and the 'Blue Moon' variant on the bracelet.

As far as power reserves go it's a very discreet one. It's also a really useful and cool complication to have on the dial. Sets it apart from other watches.

I looked at this watch for ages but in the end the circular date is just too small for my eyes these days. Love the cocktail series but the lack of sapphire is criminal these days. Also I need to stop buying dress watches, especially working from home.
