I love mine for running, driving and at work when I need to hear what's going on around me. They're never going to be an audiophile experience, but there's nothing better for their intended use.

The Pros have beefier bass drivers bit I haven't tried them myself.

Features & details

  • [Bud-free comfort] Unlike traditional wireless earphones, bone conduction headphones sit in front of your ears leaving them open, they do not cause your ears to become hot. With a lightweight design of only 26g, you will barely notice them while running or exercising even on the hottest days.
  • [Open-ear safety] The OpenRun sports headphones feature an open-ear design to provide the safest way to enjoy music or podcasts while running, cycling, sprinting, or hiking, without blocking your surroundings. This will effectively prevent a number of risky situations.
  • [England Athletics official headphones partner & IP67 waterproof] As a pioneer of bone conduction technology, we work on safe sport and are the only sports headphones brand recommended by England Athletics. IP67 waterproof wireless headphones fully consider the outdoor environment during exercise, perfect for intense workouts. (Not suitable for swimming)
  • [8-h calls & Bluetooth V5.1] Quick charge feature and long endurance of the Bluetooth V5.1 headset provides an uninterrupted musical journey even during full Marathons, and with its Duel noise-canceling mics further enhance the listening experience by providing crystal clear sound.
  • [Ultimate Sound Quality & After Sales] OpenRun Bluetooth headphones offer cutting-edge technology to ensure remarkable sound quality and come with a two-year warranty.

Posted the open run Pro a couple of weeks back, albeit in different colours for £110. The deal ended up in -30 degrees. Mad this place

I use mine in a busy industrial work environment so that I can hear whats going on around me whilst still being able to listen to music or podcasts, since traditional over-ear or in-ear headphones are not allowed (for good reason)

Yeah similar to my work, need to be able to hear if equipment is running properly.

I have these and they're really good.

Use them pretty much every day for running on reasonably quiet roads and I've got no complaints about my ability to hear vehicles coming.

Only comment I'd add is that battery life seems to be dependent on your volume, the louder you have them the quicker I seemed to burn through the battery.

On a slightly lower volume I'm able to get at least 5 hours of podcast listening when out on long ultra training runs.

Dude I was thinking about a business idea with bone conduction headphones literally 5 minutes ago at work... Can't believe I get to see this is already a thing ( is HotUKDeals reading my mind? )

If you can encorporate a much longer battery life you could be on to something, whilst 6 hours is decent enough for most people between charges something capable of 16+ hours would make it much less of a faff to recharge them regularly.

There doesn't seem to be much difference between these and the Pro's

Yeah it's just the beefier bass drivers I think. Bass is definitely a weak point with these so I can see how some might want the Pro. I haven't heard them myself, some people seem to think it's worth the extra, others can find the extra bass a bit 'tickley'.

A game changer for running amongst other things. I was sceptical but wouldn’t be without them now.

I used mine on kayak recently, to listen to audiobook.

My ear to ear measurements are just on 9inches. Should the mini suffice??

    No USB charging
    WhoLeftYouInCharge's avatar
Not sure what you mean - they can be charged via USB - although it does have a custom magnetic connector on the headphones themselves so that they can be charged whilst remaining waterproof. Perhaps you're referring to the lack of a USB connector (Micro-USB or USB-C) directly on the device itself? (edited)

These are great. Over the years i have gone through so many pairs of headphones. I wear them for cycling and walking. Helps to hear the mugger coming up from behind you

I had the open run pro, sent them back as I thought the sound quality was awful and I really disliked the vibration on my face when I turned the volume up
