sorted byI think they mean that it would use up too much of the weight allowance before being filled. I have been looking for lightweight suitcases for this reason
Im not sure thats right... ive got a booking with BA coming up and they have the following in the flight details:

Perfect size for Easyjet, for their large carry on.
Hand baggage must have a maximum length of 55cm, width of 40cm and depth of 23cm. These dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets, etc. If hand baggage exceeds this size, passengers will be asked to return to check-in and check the bag into the hold.
