I’m sure they are laces, mine look exactly like them. Useless when it rains though, feet get soaked within seconds!

Synthetic mesh upper used nowadays by brands are no good for Europe’s weather, but sure a cheap option for the manufacturers and they are charging us for the leather prices.

The tops of these Skechers are really poor quality. An accidental scuff will result in a hole almost straightaway. It's almost like they are seconds.
