how does this actually seal against the door frame i.e to stop drafts?
presumably it's just slightly offset/proturding from door frame?

It doesn't. No good for sounds, smells or draughts afaik (edited)

Just a word of warning, fitting such doors to your home can invalidate your home insurance policy, worth checking this first before purchasing.

Good point, I was going to say these will not contain or slow a fire ripping through your house

It's more a privacy door, than for sealing an area off.

What stops it coming off the top rail? Looks like nothing, so I would worry with kids around…

I've got a similar door and it has a stopper on the bracket a few mm below the horizontal rail preventing the door being lifted, but the second picture suggests this doesn't have one

Such an ugly look in the home.

It just shouts my house is too small for a real door. New builds I guess

Had one of these on the bathroom door of a barn holiday cottage that we visited.

I nearly pulled it off the rail every time, forgetting that it wasn't a regular door.

Would dread to have one in my home for that reason.

It wouldn’t have been fitted properly, done right and it has anti lift clips at the top and a base door roller to prevent a fall through. I have the same in my house and it’s great

Any idea if I'd be able to trim the sides of the door down to size?

I need an odd size sliding door.
